Renaming the Gulf of Mexico (which Trump lacks the authority to do outside the US and I doubt he can do it with just an EO) is in my opinion simply a loyalty test. He doesn’t care about the Gulf. It’s a litmus test for him (and for us) on who’s fallen in line with his insanity.
