BlackSTEM, Free Verse, Live Music, Sanford & Son addict Don't make it your first order of business to put me in my place when you don't know me in the first place. Can't blame DEI for 25-29. We tried to tell y'all & y'all didn't listen.

Some don't always have the haters they imagine. Sometimes the flexing is simply not authentic and unimpressive. "Less is more" is more appealing. The less important folk try to ACT, the more important they usually are.

So to hell with Columbus Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving also.

They're rebranding "All lives matter". They always wanna " Me Too" themselves in our racial justice declarations, but will vehemently reject an association with their slavemaster ancestors (i.e. "we weren't there"), the ones who set them up as generational beneficiaries of slavery. Damn. Sit down.

On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom and recommit ourselves to the work that remains undone. We remember that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope for tomorrow’s light.

Imma just sit this right here...

Barack Obama and Kamala Harris didn't start this ghatdamn fire. But yet there are snowflakes who likely disrespected their leadership, now looking for them to show up and "do something." No, YOU "do something" with YOUR folk who chose this shit.

This song was a vibe when I was in college, and the lyrics will never be irrelevant, especially in current times. The lead vocalist is Clare Bathe', mother of actress Ryan Michelle Bathe', whose husband is actor Sterling K. Brown. youtu.be/YGBDAxCDLs4?...

In 2016 MN Police killed a Black man named Philando Castile despite him disclosing he had a legal firearm. Yesterday MN Police released a white woman named Jenny Boelter despite her car full of cash, firearms, & passports hours after her husband mass murdered people & was on the run from police.

The hateful, bible-babbling, "deeply religious" types would make Jesus go back inside of that cave and push the boulder in behind Him.

Because it's gotta be brown and Black folk around to "tote that barge & lift that bale!!" so yt folk wont have to.

Whyte-the-fuck didn't they arrest her?

Well said.👏🏽👏🏽

Masses showed up, were counted, selfied and tagged wearing cute tshirts and carrying slogans. Kinda like being at a folk festival. So what's the ACTION PLAN to undo the damage done when not enough of y'all massed your asses on those ballots to prevent this shit?

Did a "tiny desk" concert. Don't break out the horn much, but felt like improvising on "Hot Fun In the Summertime" and "God Only Knows", two favorites from icons we lost this week. Grew up loving their unique musical genius. RIHP Sly Stone & Brian Wilson. ❤️🎵

People really asking this dumbass question. VP Kamala Harris is wherever tf she wants to be, moisturized, hydrated, silk-pressed & not obligated to cape over this bullshit. Keep her name out your mouth, off your fingertips & save that smoke for those who preferred having a Chucky doll POTUS.

There had better be this same level of energy to vote for Democrats in November 2026 because seriously I am tired of people not learning their lesson.

Black folk BEEN KNOWING because we are BORN KNOWING. The boomers among us didn't just "wake up" because we've been beckoned by someone with milk on their breath, using the access and reach of social media to spectacle themself. FOH.

God don’t love ugly. Between the weather & this tragedy he didn’t intend for anyone to pay attention to this “farce” of a “parade.” Why? We all know who is the cause of this tragedy. Fuck him & fuck his thug ass supporters. I hate you all.

In their crisis, they want us to walk ahead of them like human shields, but without being adjacent.

Black people aren't "next" in the obscene denial of due process. We've always been first through last, and and holding every space in-between.

Just dodged a brief thunderstorm driving from Cap Hill. If not for the countless, well-intentioned anti-King Day folk showing up to protest tomorrow, I'd wish Karma would blow through with a gale force wind, like the one that Gilligan n'em couldn't hold back.

Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state Keep that same energy of support for her

DC safety officials are concerned that the lightning will be particularly problematic because there are metal fencing, metal tanks, and metal tanks ALL OVER THE parade area.👀👀

Look at God!

All of this.

A beautiful tree that inspired this beautiful song. youtu.be/z11dJbWLJyM?...

RIHP sis🖤😥

Yesterday, and today, someone reported on a blog that an ICE raid was happening in a nearby community. Crickets from the yt capes who only days ago, were promoting "resistance" activity. They read their own press well, but ain't built for a revolution.

"Hold onto your beer Careful...dont get close to the flame Grab a tshirt at the exit So they'll know you attended the game"

It's like many of them are attending a watch party.

What Michael Harriot said. The End.

They're saying that to trigger us to cape through the streets, as if our enduring historical status of being marked, hunted and abused somehow makes us resilient enough and willing to take up everyone's battle.

The sponsors play the roles of both arsonist and fire chief.

Since 2008 it's been 1619 for folk who are the sponsors of this chaos.

RIHP..sly stone..since childhood, his musical genius has been intricately woven into the fabric of my life❤🖤

The weird, often whitewashed way the civil rights movement is taught (or not taught) seemed to convince a lot of people that nonviolence was met with nonviolence, instead of you know, dogs, hoses, beatings, death, etc

They ain't built for it, especially the pious ones who fucketh'd around and foundeth out.
