I was reading a thread on Reddit, and I always mused about this as well. www.reddit.com/r/avowed/s/4... Some people are saying that Avowed is terrible. Some reasons are valid, and others are nonsensical. This conversation applies to board games as well. 1/2

Maps of Misterra is a game with easy-to-learn rules but plenty of strategic depth! Explore the island, complete personal and secret objectives, and craft the perfect map of the terrain. I really enjoyed managing my board and trying to also match the main board for maximum points. A fun game! :)

not only is daybreak a really good game, it is also inspiring, it tells us how climate change can be fixed, what technologies and iniatitves already exist to fight it. each card has a qr code which leads to the game's website where it educates about the specific initiative and how it works.

Thank you to whomever recommended the Dollar Store for small containers. I found two! The option on the left works if I want to use the case at home as the lid isn't super tight. Cost: $2 CAD The option on the right has a lid that clips and the cards lie flat vs. sideways. Sturdy. Cost: $1.50 CAD

Omg, I love all things pink! 😍 And a good trick taking game, lol In Fives, players are trying to get all their winning cards to add up to 25 without going over. Playing cards as a "magenta 5" was very useful. It took me a round to fully grasp the game play, but it was quite a treat to play!

So I had a productive chat with the spider in my bathroom yesterday. I said, "If you stay over there or just leave, we won't have a problem." In my mind, it nodded and said, "You betcha. Today, no spider in the bathroom. Chances are it is still around, but I don't see it, so problem solved! 😆

I finally got to experience the new additions to Bruxelles 1893: Belle Époque. The Public Figures, End Game Goals, and Special Actions added an extra layer of strategy. The blocker tiles made it challenging but rewarding. Still a great game! #geekattitudegames
