The President of the US said he “doesn’t know” if he has to uphold the Constitution. Anyway, I guess Fox News should get back to some imaginary story about a littler box in a school bathroom or something.

When a president "doesn't know" if he has to follow the constitution, how do you not immediately bring up the fact that he took an oath to do exactly that? A real journalist would do that. A conspiratorial fluffer would move right along and pretend everything was normal.

Imagine the white heads exploding if Obama had said he wasn’t sure that following the Constitution was important

He’s less a president and more a broadcast signal from a dying democracy - static, chaos, and the faint sound of sirens in the distance.

I don’t even know that it serves anything or anyone to note that Stephen Miller is ranting about “unelected communist judges,” other than observing it’s another item on the 1933 list

And there you have it.

I joined the team from The Daily this week to have a conversation on just how the Trump family is playing in the crypto world, taking actions that create explicit conflicts of interest unlike anything in modern US history. Here's the episode: The Crypto President www.nytimes.com/2025/05/01/p...

The economy Trump inherited was the envy of the world. Within weeks, consumer confidence was plummeting, businesses were pausing expansions and investors were questioning the safety of Treasuries. Forecasters debated which was more likely: a recession or stagflation. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

They call it the "new model" because their version of the American Dream is just a caste system with zero retirement benefits or upward mobility for you or your children.

On the campaign trail, Trump had said he had no connection to the conservative manifesto.

Tether, a cryptocurrency company accused of lying about its finances and allowing crime to flourish on its platform, was once targeted by regulators. As President Trump embraces the industry, it's now one of the crypto firms building a public footprint in the U.S.

President Trump at once appoints the nation's top financial regulators & profits from one of the world's fastest growing crytpo companies. It's one of the most explicit financial conflicts of interest in presidential history. A NYT investigation published today digs into this nyti.ms/44KUVn8

Former Pentagon official Colin Carroll described Hegseth as fixated on "weird details and very agitated."

The world’s longest-running diabetes trial has led to more than 200 scientific publications and collected hundreds of thousands of samples, which serve as a sort of time capsule of America’s health. The project was terminated by the Trump Administration.

According to Kash Patel’s own financial disclosure statement, he pocketed $25,000 from a production company operated by a filmmaker associated with a Kremlin-subsidized propaganda project, a pro-Putin oligarch, and a pro-Kremlin disinformation agent. @davidcorn.bsky.social's NEW video explains:

I’m not normally a bird watcher, but I was thrilled to catch a blue suited twit sleeping away the day.

I love John Oliver, and I loved Sunday's episode, but one nitpick: It grated on me badly when Oliver referred to David Geier as a "vaccine skeptic." Geier is not a skeptic. He is a longtime antivax activist and producer of bad science and pseudoscience regarding vaccines and autism.

The damage Trump is doing to our economy and global trade will not be undone quickly, if at all. @therickwilson.bsky.social explains Trump’s legacy of economic ruin on the LP Podcast: t.co/eoVQW2eQzf

If laws are being ignored, why not also ignore presidential pardons?

“He is granting audiences to people who buy his meme coin. When the sitting president of the United States is selling access for what are effectively payments directly to him. There is no question that that rises to the level of an impeachable offense.” Sen. Jon Ossoff
