Gotta hand it to Assad. He had a good run for a self interested tyrant. If he escapes with a lot of wealth I have no doubt he would've looted he's basically won as a dictator and got a good retirement in Russia or wherever.

The more I think about the murder of that healthcare CEO the more I feel like public reaction indicates something very bad about the state of society. Both left and right seem to find glee in what's essentially vigilantism. Everyone has peasant brain these days.
