This has been driving me crazy for years and I've finally solved it. For years I've heard a truck going through neighborhood maybe once or twice a month playing music with a fantasy-like but slightly creepy vibe. Heard it again last night and played what I could remember to ask friends.

That moment when you're relying on the IME conversion to always be correct but it betrays you, so instead of writing "it's time for the afternoon meeting" you send a mention to everyone saying "it's time for the kidnapping". Has happened to everyone on my team at least once. Hardcore scrum meetings.

I cleared Nier Automata a few years ago and finally played Replicant last week. I wanted more info about white chlorination syndrome and ended up finding a 6 and a half hour video on Youtube going over the entire timeline starting from Drakengard. There's so much more than I expected.

Recently I wanted to write a tester program to nail down some unknown details of the Firebeat's GCU so I cooked up some tools. devkitPPC to compile C code for PPC, objcopy to dump the .text section, objdump to get the firebeat_entry offset, Keystone to patch in some small ASM to call into my code.

smf fixed an issue with SPU DMAs for Primal Rage 2, which also ended up fixing the buzzing sound in the Dance Maniax games in MAME. So the Dance Maniax games will be playable with working audio in the upcoming MAME 0.275 release at the end of February! github.com/mamedev/mame...
