Why can't I ever get to leave before a news alert pops up. I have questions. Was this ... today? Via Kyle Griffin just now: #Trump White House staffers were seen loading around 15 boxes of documents onto the rear of Air Force One. Team Trump says the boxes contain the classified #documents […]

If you missed yesterdays shitshow, or even if you caught it, Heather Cox Richardson not only has you covered, she brings you some of what Zelenskyy was saying when Trump and Vance were talking so loudly it was difficult to make out - and she comes to the same conclusion many of us did - ambush. […]

Hard as it may be, Americans are urged to save money any way they can, particularly if they rely on government assistance that comes in the form of montlhy checks or direct deposits. This is Uncle Don and his best friend Elon. The check really may not be in the mail next month.

BTW, most media accounts of the Oval Office shitshow today aren't playing the part of the tape where Trump talked about the indignity Putin had to suffer because of the "Russia investigation" and something about Hunter Biden's laptop. Trump came off as though he was defending his big brother.

I'm all for slimming down, cutting waste and if need be, relocating. Which is why I'm in favor of kicking the U.S. and Russia out of the U.N, restructuring the Security Council, elminating the one country veto, vacating the current premises and relocating to a country that supports the U.N.

This was the day the clown bus finally drove into the roadside tree. Kaja Kallas is the EU High Representative for foreign affairs and security policy.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, because as of today my department won't be listening." RFK Jr.

Trump just figured out why Putin really invaded Ukraine and now he wants a piece of it. Tell me you don't think he told Zelenskyy if he doesn't sign over all those mineral rights, he's just going to side with Putin and split the spoils with him. We could be about to see the first #lithiumwar

Neither geographic size nor population determines what country is "the world's greatest democracy." It's the country's heart, its allegience to ideals of fairness and inclusion. And yes, a country's willingness to help other democracies that are under attack by tyrannical land grabbers matters. 1/2

"Not My President"? How about "Not my government."

I stand with #Zelenskyy 🇺🇦 Screw you dictator #Trump

Him: I knew you weren't all that 40 years ago. Me: Congrats. I didn't figure that out until you left. Him: Oh? So, how did you figure it out? Me: Took a little while for me to realize what an idiot I was for hiring you.

I'll believe RFK is pro (tested up the wazoo) vaccines the moment his department produces and funds a measles vaccine ad patterned after that drug company's shingles vaccine ad, b/c THAT ad shows what the virus does to the body.

(WaPo) The reports were both planned for release about two weeks ago, but remain in draft form in the email inboxes of acting deputy inspector general Marc Meyer and his top staff out of fear that the critical findings will prompt the White House to come after the agency in retaliation […]

So, have you seen the Kristi Noem TV ad, paid for by DHS? I't reallly great. Kristi looks like she just stepped off the cover of Vogue while she promotes Trump The Border Closer, and tells undocumented immigrants to get out now, 'cuz if they do, they might be allowed back in - someday, but if […]

You DO realize we're not that far away from every request for information or comment from the federal government being responded to with nothing more than a poop emoji, right?

(WaPo) A prosecutor resigned. Another refused to seek a warrant. A judge said there wasn’t enough evidence. But Citibank appears to have frozen up to $20 billion in grants as a Justice Department probe continues. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2025/02/27/trump-fbi-epa-grant-investigation/

He seems disinterested in almost everything except falling asleep in front of cameras. Increasingly, he lets people see he's totally gray. It's almost as if he's preparing the base for something. The moment he ditches the face makeup we'll know - he's getting ready to pass the sledgehammer.

Apparently, every day I don't do shit, I'm participating in a nationwide protest. No wonder I'm sleeping in the middle of the day. This is hard work.

(Resiclub) Homebuilders haven’t seen much disruption from deportations yet, John Burns finds. Around 13% of the U.S. construction workforce is estimated to be undocumented—including 23% laborers […]

I have private health insurance and Medicare, but I have a sneaking suspicion the billing departments are going to be calling a lot more often soon, demanding I pay the Medicare part b/c for some reason claims aren't getting processed very quickly these days . . .

For some, knowledge is Linus' blanket.

Trump plans on fighting the high price of eggs by incarcerating all the chickens, which so long as he doesn't start saying they're all rapists, murderers and part of a drug cartel might be of some help.

Credit Politico for properly describing him: "The unelected South African native . . ." https://www.politico.com/newsletters/power-switch/2025/02/27/teslas-musk-problem-hits-state-capitals-00206433

Sure, we have a prez who got in by lying & being white and sure he's abdicated everything to a billionaire white guy from South Africa who is all "whites uber alles" & is planning on stealing from retirees, but a new episode of Reacher just dropped & damn, look at that shirtless beefcake squirrel.

"That's stupid. It's been tried before, never worked, never will. They're going to have to try something new," I banged out in response to a post that linked to an article I never read, because the headline told me all I needed to know and besides I don't like that publication. Then I took a nap.

If the only new thing about these binders is the binder itself, the scheme still works because for the people who listen to the binder holders, every page will be a revelation. Just like when you first learn something your favorite partisan blog rehashed from that newspaper you refuse to read. […]

#ProLifeMyAss “HHS Lays Off Lawyers Who Were Defending #Medicare Drug Price Cuts - Bloomberg New: At least 3 govt lawyers working on defending a major Biden-era drug pricing law were laid off in mass cuts across the agency this month, according to a source familiar with the terminations” […]

Read it before commenting. She voted for Trump based on one promise he made, one that could change her life: free IVF. "She did not want to vote for Trump. Cooper hated what he said about women and hated how he treated them." […]

This is an easy one: stay the hell away from anything Trump's EPA deems safe - whether it's a chemical in that new couch or a 1,000 buried at that hazardous waste site.

I know my mind is failing, mashing up past and present, attributing things to the wrong person, which is my explanation for why I keep seeing Elon Musk taking the mic away from Taylor Swift and launching into an error-ridden speech praising Trump, bitcoin and mixing in some reference to Taylor […]

Keep 'em coming NEW: A judge has ordered #Trump administration officials — and at least one DOGE [sic] staffer — to sit for depositions in a lawsuit over the group's access to sensitive government systems. Judge Bates called DOGE's activities "opaque." […]

“Drugs are still pouring into our Country from Mexico and Canada at very high and unacceptable levels,” said Trump, not mentioning that he will continue to hold that view until he's satisfied with his take. A 50% stake in their oil & rare earths may be on the table.

PSA - any federal department that issues a reorganization plan by March 13 had that plan in hand for some time. Some people are saying the department heads got it the day they were put in charge. I say if they were involved with #project2025, they helped develop it months, if not years ago.

This morning I made a huge mistake. I forgot the Constitution. Admittedly, we have an administration that seems to do the same thing - or totally misinterpret it, but this thread is about me, my mistake and the train of thought that was right until it was wrong because again - Constitution. 1/4

25th amendment - Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress. Thus - a President Vance begets a Vice-President Musk Careful what you wish for.

"The patients that have been hospitalized, were all unvaccinated." 2025 Texas Measles Outbreak, but also several years during the U.S. Covid-19 pandemic. But don't be surprised if all mention of vaccines is soon erased from the federal database.

Thousands of Mexicans and Canadians sneek into the U.S. wearing trenchcoats lined with syringes. "psst. Hey you. Wanna buy a vaccine?"

All I want from the White House press pool is one shotgun mic and one high res camera trained on Trump every time he lets Musk serve as POTUS, b/c I think America needs to be reminded as often as possible that Trump is sleeping on the job (and likely breaking wind).

We may be about to reach the point where every day we read another story about someone who lost a loved one due to measles or some other preventable disease, where they wished they gotten them the shot and we're all wondering if they're the same people who said the same thing years ago about COVID.

There are lots of people who look like Musk used to who should be taken seriously, but because we still live in a world where books are judged by their covers and covers are designed to be attractive to the maximal number of humans - they just aren't. Flip side to that? Musk 2.0, the 007 wannabe.
