@therickwilson.bsky.social Don't over analyze Trump. The "deal" has already been made. If Biden/Sullivan hadn't slow-walked Ukraine, if Ukraine had the resources to break any Russian victory prospect, Trump would be backing Ukraine. He wants any quick, lazy deal that he can declare a win *for him*

@therickwilson.bsky.social Rick, you said on the episode of The Enemies List that i listened today that McConnell deserves some credit for a couple cabinet no votes. No. 1. Trump is almost entirely McConnell's fault. 2. If the votes were closer, he would have voted yes. They were "safe" votes.

@therickwilson.bsky.social JD Vance notes AFD(✋) polls 2nd prior to elections. He accuses German parties of suppressing free speech by locking AFD out of any coalition. AFD is polling 21%, behind 1st place CDU/CSU 32%. -> 79% are against AFD. It is free speech to align or not with who you want.

One thing that's been very revealing is how many politicians valorized working-class and middle-class workers, unless those folks work for the federal government. The cheering of the purging of regular people who have had their entire financial lives upended has been something to see.

@therickwilson.bsky.social As a first step in creating a European army, they should create the European Treaty Organization, with a mutual defense commitment. Ukraine would be a founding member. Open to all that would defend against invaders. Closed to all that would aid and comfort invaders.

@therickwilson.bsky.social Please don't use "RFK jr" to refer to Robert Kennedy. His name is "Kennedy," "Robert Kennedy," "Secretary Kennedy," or "Robert Kennedy jr" if there's any ambiguity. To call him "RFK jr" is an insult to RFK and his legacy, and confers undeserved gravitas on Kennedy.
