My outtie enjoys thoughtful television programs

Severance’s Egan home seems to owe something to Thomas Phifer’s Taghkanic House (close to many filming locations), but the living room at least seems to have been an actual location somewhere else

The architect in his natural habitat (Joy Division not included)

I’m at SCI Arc today as a volunteer to help out folks who lost their homes in the recent fires. www.sciarc.edu/events/event...

Susan Lynch was one of just a handful of female train operators working at BART in 1973, one year after the system opened for service. After graduating from Mills College, Susan decided to apply for the role because “it sounded super sci-fi and a great job for someone who loved to travel." Thread ⬇️

We’ve been hard at work in Sacramento preparing our legislative package for the year, and we’re proud to announce our 2025 bills! Here’s what we’re running this year ⬇️

Bouncing along into the sunset (Sorry for the rough camerawork)

Sigh. Pretty sure I know all of these

Morning LA, we are in Union Station at the surprise press event about California High Speed Rail. The area seems to be blocked off but I will attempt to live-tweet as things happen.

The scene at LA. Union Station. No protestors in sight

I will be there tomorrow morning to board a train to Oakland that will take about 12 hours

Excited to share my debut for @lapublicpress.bsky.social about efforts by Altadena residents to plan their own future. Most excited to have the chance to work with Curbed LA legend Jenna Chandler lapublicpress.org/2025/02/alta...

Is that some kinda wild west stargate?

I have a new white paper about the LA fires and their consequences. What do we know about the neighborhoods affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires, and how will the housing market respond after more than 15,000 homes were destroyed and tens of thousands of residents were displaced?

We have a proof of concept for how to get California building: ADUs. The half-measures don't work. We need to extend all the same protections to SB 9, SB 684/1123, etc.

Seville, Spain eliminated 5,000 car parking spaces and built an 80 km protected cycling network in just 18 months with 32 million €. Result: An average 70,000 bike trips a day. Leadership.

so if you’re by the Bay, the Philippine Mars is taking off soon
