This podcast is incredible. I’ve binged it in a day. It’s an astonishingly personal & brave story, but with wide-ranging, far-reaching implications; the digital era has given stalkers more weapons, misogyny is rampant, and online abuse causes real-life harm. A hard but important listen.

Ok!! Canceled my @washingtonpost.com subscription!! Yay!!

Heartbreaking and totally unnecessary. Texas should be ashamed.

This note that Jeff Bezos just sent to Washington Post employees about the opinion page is leading Post employees to speak out publicly. Reporters like Jeff Stein (who is on the news side) say that if Bezos starts to interfere with his work he will quit immediately.

Looks like Jeff Bezos is the latest sycophant to be "grabbed by the pussy." Proud of my prior decision to cancel my subscription to The Washington Post. Looks like it is now time to be done with Amazon.

Extraordinary briefing with Kemi Badenoch's official spokesman just now He called for Donald Trump to intervene to block the Chagos Islands deal. Ie a foreign power over ruling our elected government here. When I asked for clarification he confirmed "we are calling for a foreign power" to block it.

This is a good statement from the @royalsociety.org reaffirming their commitment to the scientific values being challenged in the US. But their actions will speak louder than these words when they decide whether or not to remove Musk as a fellow. www.researchprofessionalnews.com/rr-news-uk-v...

Legal jeopardy looms for Michelle Mone as NCA signals criminal charges could emerge from Covid contract scandal.

NEW: There's a 'realistic chance' of criminal charges from a probe into a Michelle Mone-linked PPE firm, the National Crime Agency has said

Here’s my old pal Michelle Mone reacting to the news that the Covid Enquiry will now hear evidence of her controversial PPE contracts in private. She seems to be quite pleased…😳

Well, unless there’s a criminal trial on the way the chair of the Covid inquiry can suck my balls because this needs to be transparent.

Morning from Kyiv. I came to let you know that I might be absent for a day or so. Not feeling well. Slow. Low energy. Some virus. Son was very sick these days.

French lower house votes through wealth tax. A 2% minimum tax rate on the wealth of individuals whose net worth exceeds €100m. It is not yet law. UK needs to do similar to reduce inequalities. Instead govts penalise low/middle income families and make poor pay more for crumbling infrastructure.

Last week, the new owners of the Observer wrote to tell me they would *not* be issuing me with a new contract. 🤷‍♀️ So...I want to say publicly that it was an absolute privilege to speak on behalf of my Observer colleagues during our strike. I don't regret doing so. And I learned so much from it. 1/
