Fourteen repeats of the edging pattern cover half a side of my Shetland Hap Shawl. Three and a half sides to go. I’m knitting a lot here these holidays. 26 days until deadline. #knitsky #knitlace #knit

I always do one repeat of the edging outside the shawl so I can get a feel of its flow, how the decreases and increases shape the pattern. Also the last return/even-numbered row in a different coloured yarn, so I can see how to graft it together once I’m all the way around. #knitsky #knit #lace

Fourth border done on my Shetland Hap. Amazing how a deadline will speed up one’s knitting. Now to pick up all those stitches all around (over 1000) and knit the edging on. Pattern: Cobweb Crepe Shawl from Sharon Miller’s ‘Heirloom Knitting’. Yarn: lamb’s wool from Wadils.com #knit #knitsky

#GreyWeek on #ShowMeYourKnits The third border on the Shetland Hap Shawl knit. Fourth one started. Pattern is ‘Cobweb Crepe Shawl’ from Sharon Miller’s book ‘Heirloom Knitting’, but using grey lambswool from Wadils.com. #knitsky #knitting #laceknitting #HeirloomKnitting

#ShowMeYourKnits #knitsky Still working on that ‘Shetland Hap’ third border almost done. Deadline is 41 days from now until recipient’s birthday. #menwhoknit #lace #shawl

That big Shetland Hap I’m knitting? Just got my deadline for it: May 15th. I’ll be busy! #knitting #knit #lace #shetland

The second of four borders knit on the Shetland Hap shawl. It will be quite big, minimum 1.8 m /6 ft. square. But big shawls give warmth and drama. Pattern: Cobweb Crepe Shawl in Sharon Miller’s ‘Heirloom Knitting’ Yarn: Wadil lambswool 7/2 grey #knitting #shawl #lace #shetland

Ribbit, Ribbit! Sometimes knitting doesn’t work out, time to rip it back, a.k.a frog 🐸 it. Nice lace yarn from World of Wool, BFL/silk/stellina. Lovely hand. Nice pattern, too. But I knit it way too tight on 4 mm needles. It needs 4.5 mm and a more relaxed hand. So, I rip it and start over.

My 1st shawl of 2025, a Shetland Hap. Sofar centre and 1st of 4 borders. 7/2 lambs wool, 3.5 mm needles. Pattern ‘Cobweb Crepe Shawl’ in Sharon Miller’s ‘Heirloom Knitting’. #knitting #shawl #shetlandhap #laceknitting

Centre of a Shetland Hap. CO1, turn. YO1, knit to end, turn. Repeat until 162 sts. YO1, ktog3, knit to end, turn Repeat until there is just the YO and the ktog3. Cast off.

Happy New Year from Denmark!

Progress on what I call my ‘Hobo BoHo Shawl’. Squares woven on my zoom loom sewn together. A single row of crochet all around. Then my handspun yarn in simple garter-knit on each side. Now emptying my ‘When did I buy that? Any why?’ stache for the long edges. Then what? . #knitting #weaving

Printing Christmas presents. The first of five sets of can-hiding cup and dice box. File is ‘The GameMaster’ by ArsMoriendi3D. 0.2mm nozzle at 0.06 mm layer height on BambuLab A1. BambuLab Basic PLA Grey. #3Dprint #ArsMoriendi3D #BambuLab

Don't try to explain

And then there were two … I bought the first one about three months ago. I am very impressed by the advances in 3Dprinting technology. Especially compared to my last 3Dprinter a Snapmaker A350. So much so I bought another one. Currently printing ship models, AoS terrain, and Christmas gifts.

Cold here this morning.
