Finished up StoryCon and had a great time! (Today’s panel on queries and @lainitaylor.bsky.social’s keynote were especially good). That’s my third con this month, and while they were all great, I’m definitely going to enjoy taking a break from them and getting back to the actual writing.

Wrapped up my #Fantasy story about a #harpy #pirate searching for a cursed treasure in the arctic. Aiming to submit this to @joshuapalmatier.bsky.social's ‘Skull X Bones’ anthology should its Kickstarter fund. I’ve been wanting to get into a ZNB anthology, and I’m optimistic this story’ll do it.

Recently finished reading the #ScienceFiction / #Fantasy / #Superhero anthology "Heroic: Tales of The Extraordinary." I got this one a while ago at a @storymakers.bsky.social , but it had languished in my 'to read' pile for a while. I'm glad I finally got to it, because it's very good. (1)

Got back from @ltuesymposium.bsky.social. Had a fantastic time there: met some new friends, had good conversations with agents, editors, and publishers, and attended interesting panels. The #SwordAndSorcery panel by Liam Hall and the denouement panel by Wulf Moon were especially interesting.

Finished reading "Down These Mean Streets," the #SFF #noir anthology edited by Kacey Ezell and Larry Correia. Excellent book--at least as good as the other two volumes in this Baen series. (1)

Bought a few books at @superstarswriting.bsky.social, including three of their anthologies. I used some downtime, including the flight home, to read one of those anthologies titled "Of Wizards and Wolves." Glad I did, because it was a great book. #fantasy #reading
