This is like one of those preseason college football games when like Ohio State plays the Keokuk Chickpeas.

The best AI ad yet (Google's fatherhood interview prep ad) matches @reckless.bsky.social and @davidpierce.xyz's theory that a lot of AI use is just "people want a friend."

An early pilot writing.

I haven't done a lot of video of myself talking. That format just hasn't yet been the way to solve any priority problems/goals for me personally or professionally, so it hasn't happened a lot. Today, I had to record myself for something for work. Vertical, phone-style video.

Tinkering around and found this funny little thing in fbevents.js

Yes. The background process of constantly filtering my reading, thinking, and doing for "Would this be a good original thought post?" felt good to have off, and it's hard to get running again.

This has to be an allusion to the opening sentence of The Gunslinger, right?

What caught me off guard there is Ozempic.

I typed an experience to illustrate this, then looked at it and realized omfg nope I can't put that in writing out in the world.

To me this is more about people, and their awareness of the world and their own world-view, than the topics of the survey. As marketers, it's important to remember our audiences don't live in "the real world" -- and likely neither do we! So empathy and data must drive messaging decisions.

Mostly this shows how poorly informed people are. Work life balance? I got bad news for these survey-takers. Also, yes this is a politically divided time, but ffs 1968 shouldn't be scraping the bottom of that chart.
