The history teacher in me was impressed! As I'm typing in "un...ited states" on a website, the USSR pops up? ☭

Gen AI + Gen Z= historical empathy? My students had a wild idea: what if we put primary source accounts of child laborers from English textile factories into a @perplexity space and... had a group chat with them?

Excited to try out the new @canva AI assistant beta 👀 The CustomGPT has been underwhelming so far, but I’m hopeful this feature will produce more useful content

Agentic AI browsers will be mainstream in 2025 At the very least, please don’t JUST use Chrome…there are so many better alternatives

History Skills=AI Skills Research, sourcing, evaluating bias, corroboration… These are all skills we learn in history And they are just as important when engaging with Generative AI #maktok #ai #ChatGPT #history

Weekly @buffer spread & analytics take aways 📈 👑 short form video has the best reach AND is the easiest content to make ♾️ repurposing content is under-rated (YouTube->article->carousel this week) 🎵 TikTok's virality is still unmatched. Curious to see what happens as the next "ban" approaches

"How has your job changed in the past two years?" When Zach Kinzler asked me this on his Smarter Campus Podcast, it struck me as a question worth reflecting further on. The short answer? A lot. The long answer... here's my list of the Top 5 Ways My Job Has Changed ↘️

Which single feature sets Claude apart from ChatGPT? Artifacts! What are Claude Artifacts? Artifacts are a separate window that pops out & creates the product you are having Claude generate. #ai4edui #aiedu #aieducators #maktok #edusky

"Anyone can spam unlimited articles, posts, and content with AI!" This is largely true But low-effort AI generated content doesn't have struggles, typos, real experiences, or authentic anecdotes

When will students start having Generative AI access written in to accommodations? I've had students with access to phones, earbuds, and breaks to play games... none of which are backed by anything other than appeasing parents/students

🎓 If I were a student today, here's my game plan to study smarter: 1️⃣ Google Notebook LM 🗂️ 2️⃣ Dump all your sources into a notebook. Name it 📚 3️⃣ Create a study guide 📝 4️⃣ Engage with timelines, audio reviews, and even AI podcast Q&As about your content. 🎙️

The ultimate TikTok plot twist: what if it was bought out & moved to Wyoming? Do they even have TikTok & internet in Wyoming?

YouTube Premium subscribers can now interact with videos via Gemini AI “Ask” rolled out this past week Responses are time stamped with source in the video Very handy for “summarize this” or “give me 5 ways to apply this” type generation

School is the Only Place Looking Things Up is Cheating Anywhere else, we are encouraged to do research or look things up  #maktok #fyp #school #teacher #ai

🔊 JBL speakers + 🎤 Fetty Wap + 🌎 history memes= 💡learning P.S. any student submission that makes me laugh= 💯

👕 Merch is the new business card 📨

"The more leverage an attorney gains with generative AI tools, the less likely they are to be replaced by AI." -smart colleague in the AI + legal space. The concept applies to many other professions.

Every student should have Google's NotebookLM enabled If you are in a Google Apps district, why wouldn't you want your students to be able to: -curate course materials -create study guides -review content -create audio conversations about content (not practical YET, but novel!)

How can AI help me study? My two favorite tools: 🥇 Google's NotebookLM 🥈 Perplexity Spaces

“Deep Research” is the shiny new thing in the LLM world right now. While I don’t have access to ChatGPTs version, I have to say that Grok3 & @perplexity both are very impressive compared to Google’s Deep Research More thoughts and a full write up coming later this week with examples!

Grok 3 is awesome so far, don't you think?

The app had an update, but where is it? 👀

The University of Michigan an LLM It’s free for students and faculty. -image upload -voice conversation -campus events, dining halls, sports activities -custom AI tutors in their @canvas courses While your school is trying to bust you with AI detectors
The smart ones are building their own!

Multi-modal, realtime input, and 2 million token context window? Free? Yes please #gemini !

The best new feature most people don't know about in Google Docs? That'd be: collapsible sections! Here's how to use it 👇 Format->Switch to Pageless Format Set section headers->toggle arrow to the left of the first text Watch content neatly tuck away!

📢 How Long Would It Take You to Read Everything GPT-4 Knows? 🤯 👀 Think you can keep up with AI? Let’s do some quick math. 🧠 GPT-4 is trained on an estimated 500 BILLION words. 📖 The average person reads at 200 words per minute. ⏳ That means you’d need 2.5 BILLION minutes to read it all.

Every day I see how generative AI can do things never before possible Tag an account in a comment and get a fact check + sources? Yes please!
