It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence. They are in charge.

It's my BIRTHDAY today! What I want most is for you to donate to Trans Lifeline, as part of the @unpreparedcasters.bsky.social campaign - specifically donate to Atelut so that our corporate girly can survive this thing!! Let's save the train and save the world! tiltify.com/@unpreparedc...

A party of zero leaders. They all wait for orders from Trump but then he also passes the buck all the time. “He should do that”

ICE are like vampires. Don't let them into the Juke.

Your periodic reminder that it's the GOP that desperately wants you poor, sick, uneducated, burdened by kids you can't afford, surveiled and controlled at every turn.

this is all deeply terrifying but it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that these people are lazy, incompetent dipshits who are doing a piss-poor job they haven’t won yet and we can send them home in embarrassing failure

Worth bearing in mind that illegal entry is a misdemeanor and being unlawfully present in the country is not even a criminal offense, but a civil one. This is the equivalent of saying we need to torch the Constitution & send in the SWAT team to catch jaywalkers & people with overdue library books.

When I talk about how St Louis is often screwed over by Jefferson City (our capitol) things like this are what I'm talking about. Missouri broadly and st louis specifically is a look into the window that the GOP want for all of us.

This is so hard to do, but so essential. Busdrivers still drive their busses, dentists still reach for the drill. Authors still have to be silly little bananas shilling fantasy to the masses. In all cases, the sky is burning, but the cats must be fed.

The spin has already started as if our entire city is in chaos. I went from Burbank all the way over to Koreatown on surface streets tonight and jackshit was happening. The CNN coverage makes it look like world war 3 and that’s what Trump wants so he and his fucking goons can come shoot Angelenos.

I'm also going to give one more short #PoliticalLessonPost today and it's a lesson I was taught more indirectly but nevertheless it was there. There are two fields that are incredibly helpful for understanding politics wherever you find it: history and stories.

Again, not a lot of time for the #PoliticalLessonPost today. But let's revisit this one since it didn't get a lot of traction (ironically kind of proving a point I was trying to make with it).

This is why (and the thread does address this) fantastic racism with/superpowers often kind of misses the mark. Yes, there's a lot of raw wish fulfillment in the "they hate me because I'm special" thing but racism is abhorrent because the people its aimed at *don't* pose a threat or danger...

Good. This kind of protesting is what I like to see.

NEW: ALA is disappointed in today's court ruling denying our request for a preliminary injunction in our lawsuit to save the Institute of Museum and Library Services. But this is not the end. Read our full statement: www.ala.org/news/2025/06... #ForOurLibraries

More than one person has told me they want to live in the worlds I create.

Jae is incredible at what they do and snapping up their skills will make your project better.

New post on patreon! Each month I do a quick "On the Desk" post to let folks know what's going on and what's coming up.

Inspired by ‪@/vorthosjay.bsky.social‬'s thread about Pride legends in Magic the Gathering I thought I'd go through some of my own pieces to highlight the LGBTQIA characters I have. There aren't as many as Magic, but more than I realized I'd done.
