Practicing talks is so hard because you have to listen to yourself deliver the same joke to your dog over and over and they don't laugh even once

Whenever I feel the urge to break the Prime Directive, I just talk about my personal experience until the person starts sweating a little bit. 👀

New favorite Deaf culture tip from Lingvano: it is not considered rude to sign while eating.

I noticed someone mentioning that they couldn't afford "How Git Works" right now. we have a "buy one give one" program where we give away 1 free copy for every zine sold. You can use code BUYONEGIVEONE to get a free PDF copy of How Git Works if $12 is a lot for you. wizardzines.com/zines/git/

Everyone wants to celebrate my birthday, obviously.

After getting diagnosed with an under-diagnosed chronic condition that is more severe in estrogen-dominant bodies, I ranted monthly about how we don't study female hormones enough. Since IVF and going into menopause for 3 months during chemo, I rant almost daily about it.

Great write up at @thetransmitter.bsky.social on the seeming erasure of SABV in the new era of NIH. Gotta say The Transmitter is killing it the last few weeks, first to report on the Federal Register block and now this. Leading the charge! 💪 www.thetransmitter.org/policy/exclu...

"I don't know, Frank. Seems like moving fast and breaking things just gives us a lot of broken things to fix."

I feel like every time I'm told AI is going to revolutionize x, it takes about 6 months to 2 years to see an article with the headline "AI didn't actually revolutionize x, but it might have made it worse"

there’s a type of person who doesn’t “sweat the small stuff” bc “things will just work out,” who doesn’t see that things “just working out” is the result of others stretching to accommodate them and their failure to “sweat the small stuff,” so the person and/or their plan doesn’t go off the rails.

It is hard to explain to folks who don't struggle with executive dysfunction just how amazing it is to be able to schedule an appointment, make a phone call, or fill out necessary paperwork. These tasks are the bane of my existence and they have such potentially severe repercussions when I can't.

Wes is performing tricks for random strangers to the point that I'm getting compliments on his training. Who stole my dog and replaced him with a golden retriever?

Wes is ecstatic to greet his admirers at the coworking space today

👩‍⚕️CDC and Disability Rights 🦼 Before we talk more about disability, we need to address the history of eugenics, ableism and racism that haunts US public health work.

I've been looking at a lot of eyebrows since I have a blank slate for drawing mine on. I have chosen Gigi Hadid's "statement brows" as my daily brow inspiration.

The company that owned my mortgage sold it to another company over six months ago. We always pay on time. I'm still getting ridiculously erroneous credit reports like "your credit score dropped 30 points because you have 2 mortgages, one of them you owe 0, and your payment is late for the other."

Y'know how your brain doesn't notice your normal eyelashes but does notice big fake eyelashes when you put them on? Putting small, subtle fake eyelashes on a spot where your eyelashes have fallen out has the same effect.

Happy #BlackHistoryMonth ! Feb 22: Q: Relax! Racism is a boomer problem! As old people die off, the younger generation takes over! Young people are less racist! Right? A: No. People do not become more "conservative" as they get older. That's a lie. Read the whole linked thread.

A movie you've watched more than 6 times, using only GIFs

Best believe I have been trying to get an answer from Delta customer service about this since I first saw the article.

This opposition tells you a lot about how often airlines destroy wheelchairs.

This entire thread and within those biases and constraints, it generates the most average thing that is likely to please you. I don't know about you but my favorite writing and art usually does something unexpected and certainly not the average.

Just saw my 3rd snow of the year in GA 👀🥶

When I get nails, every hand gesture feels dramatic

On the old app, we used this hashtag for - yeah I code in these - hey other techies look at my fabulous nails - what nails did everybody get for the tech conf So here are the sets I got for RenderATL and MagnoliaJS #CoderClaws

Made it through the worst of treatment, so it was time for a lil treat🌈☁️🌙✨ #CoderClaws
