I can't decide which I want more. To see the country burn so I can say I told you so, or for the country to prosper so I can say I was wrong. Sadly, whether I say I told you so or not, I think we are going to continue burning.

My two friends and I have rented a lake house for January 18-21. We will have no Wi-Fi, no TV or internet. We will not watch or listen to anything to do with the inauguration. We plan to play cards, drink wine, dance a little and pretend for a little while that we aren't living in a shit show.

DEI is the bogeyman for those who believe that if I’m gaining, they must be losing. The idea that everything would be fine if only white men ran the world is a weak argument—clung to by insecure men who can’t handle reality. DEI ensures women & BIPOC are looked at fairly IN ADDITION to white men.
