Year 11 and 13 mock exams begin. We are trying out a few tweaks to the start of the exams this time and Year 11 were flipping brilliant. My shoes take a right pounding at this time of year though with the scribed students 3 floors above the exam hall... 18,000 steps and almost 12km walked.

Cover is brutal at the moment. It has got me thinking, is the current model of 3 annual resignation dates fit for purpose or would a standard 6-8 week notice period make a difference. We have definitely seen an uptick in staff being prepared to break contracts and just walk away with zero notice 1/

Covered a Year 9 PE lesson today. It was tag rugby and I ended up joining in... Managed to avoid turning into Boris Johnson and even got some praise from the kids (I think they were just amazed I could muster a speed greater than walking and vaguely enough coordination to avoid dropping the ball).
