It's a metaphor. It also really happened.

It's very interesting to me that, in visual design, we correlate empty space with "premium" and crowded design with cheap or "value". Compare Walmart.com to Apple.com. Are we making a subliminal comparison to store shelves? Do we think pixels, like real-estate, are expensive?

I may not be good at corporate speak, but Chattington G. Chattsworth sure is.

It may not make any difference, but I always compliment the robots when they do something right. When they take over, I want them to remember I was nice.

Nope.

This is a thoughtful thread. There is genuine utility in LLMs, and hype, and risk. Sorting all of that out requires a clear head.

Periodically Uniqlo releases this mini-magazine "Life Wear" on their website and I love it way too much, because I am a giant dork who loves Uniqlo www.uniqlo.com/us/en/conten...

I’ve been using this little guy as my daily driver for a month. It works surprisingly well but kinda fidgety. I ultimately decided to go for a real external monitor, but this thing would be great for travel.

It's amusing to me that many tech YouTubers reach for excalidraw.com to create a quick diagram online while streaming from their Mac. Freeform is right there. And free. support.apple.com/guide/freefo...

This weekend I saw beautiful relics of modernism at the Tamara de Lempicka exhibit, and I rode in a WayMo for the first time. There are eerie parallels between now and the early 20th century.

brb, lost in time and space.

I visited the Tamara de Lempicka show at the De Young this weekend. Amazing work and a fascinating person.

Jonah poodle is a whole mood

Instagram’s new format breaks my big grid. 🙃

I'm doing a little DIY home improvement this weekend and I have learned the term "Thermofoil" and now I have a new thing to hate.

Actually I think the downfall of America started when they stop making “Schoolhouse Rock!”.

Is Instagram still the best place for artists to self promote? I still see tons of art there, but the platform is just getting so unusable with the reels and the ads and the general slop. (not to mention Meta's most recent heel turn)

My wife’s electric toothbrush fell off the counter and onto the floor. It turned itself on and danced around the tiled bathroom floor, creating resonant reverberations throughout the house. I couldn’t find that crazy noise. I even checked the roof. It was just the toothbrush, calling for help.

I just told my spouse that PDF stands for "PRINT, Damned f_ker" because really.

Deactivated Threads. Let’s see if I miss it.

🎩 🧐 My fancy lunch is fancy. Because I'm fancy.

Sol LeWitt: Not to be sold for more than $100 This was an xmas present to me, one of Sol LeWitt's experiments in affordable, accessible art.

More work in progress. I think I accidentally Adam Driver. (this is fine)

Haven't painted (digitally) in a while. Good to see my fingers still work.
