I love mail ordering from Kinokuniya because the order takes FOREVER to get to me. I mean that genuinely. It's so nice to just send off for a book and have it arrive in a nonchalant fashion.

TODAY I LEARNED: 1845 -The launch of the Terror/Erebus disaster 1903 - Amundsen successfully crosses the Northwest passage in small boats and sledges 1960s - A few ships use the NW Passage here and there 2008 - Cargo ships can regularly use NW Passage

Heyo! I've updated my Patreon with 6 brand new pages of Janus! Membership to my Patreon is free for general updates, and pay-what-you-want for early access and behind-the-scenes content. www.patreon.com/posts/janus-...

Oh 4, all day every day over the other options. Backup option 1. I don't mind moist, I'm just not sure Why moist.

Russian Doll is not at all about what I thought it was about?? And all the better for it!

Testing out @supernote.com's note-taking capacity! This is one of those dense tomes where almost every page has a gem of note!

I didn't check the calendar and got my days scrambled for Pi Day! So I made a pizza pie. Still counts, right??

New review! I'm doing a series of Supernote reviews, starting with it's reading functionality, sans pen. Special thanks to @supernote.com for the 30% discount (just the tablet) for an honest review. READ/WATCH here (free): www.patreon.com/posts/123923...

Askin' for a friend.

Took the day off from the office job, as counseled by my family, as my lungs hurt, and I kept describing both my face skin and fingertips as being, "numb and kind of detached," as I was trying my utmost (and succeeding, I will add) to make mini enchiladas for my lunch the next day.

Another scene's worth of Janus pencils is complete! Protagonist Mari remains unimpressed.

Janus chapter 4 thumbnails got a little tangled, so I’m taking the opportunity to test the viability of thumbnailing on the SuperNote! I absolutely have to do roughs on paper, but the dialogue ideas and page order on the thumbs can get really muddled up when I scribble them on a Post-it note.

Revised the ol' "Schweizer Guide to Spotting Tangents" lecture. 1/2

Freelance/Personal project feelings are complicated. I took a day or so off to suffer from allergies and now I’ll be right on target to finish this next comic scene, rather than early. I’m devastated that I’m likely going to be done on time. …and I’m still kind of unwell 😅

Movies don't make me cry, but "Judy" (2019) just destroyed me. I have a soft spot for stories where characters try so hard, but never seem to win.

Follow-up shout out to Copic Acrea. I'm not a big Copic user, but I continue to be impressed at how well I can actually draw fine details with it, in spite of its fairly chunky tip. Here's a Kushana on the cover of a newly-completed sketchbook.

And true to my word, here is a MASSIVE FREE POST detailing everything I've used to make comics over the past year: www.patreon.com/posts/materi... Please enjoy and please feel free to ask for clarification.

Working out some #comics stuff. #maps

Trying my utmost to read Virgil's Aeneid this evening. It's not going well, as usual.

Quick pass of lettering on top of roughs. Tweaked the last balloon after the video, and will certainly adjust more once the final art is done, as well as merging balloons, balloon effects and adding tails. This just gives me a good idea of how much space I have to put the art in.
