Introducing the Demiderians, another one of our player species for Jack of Trades. These starry folks are prone to wanderlust and may live for several hundred years. They have fair magic resistance and tend to be rarer folk, who lack their own nation. More in alts.

Here's another PC specie for Jack of Trades: the Sidhe! (pronounced "she") Sidhe are a more magically inclined people with a fairly high tolerance for ambient magic and half the lifespans of humans. More in the alt!

In drawing the species for Jack of Trades, we've realized that while we might feel good about what makes them distinctive culturally and biologically, that doesn't mean we determined what makes them visually distinctive. Which is a first for me to sit down to draw and realize idk what they look like

One of the player species in Jack of Trades is good old classic Humans. These humans are sporting tiny mystic assistants known as a Bauble. You can check the alt text for more information!

Don't you just love it when you give your DM a pretty messed up backstory and the DM somehow makes it *so much worse*? Our DM is very good at that.

We've now got our logo up! Say hello to Wolfram the dragon!

There's nothing quite like reviewing a system you put in place years ago (stat growth) and realizing you have to rip the whole thing out and start over. And then realizing you have to retool several other systems to fit this new one (like damage scaling for spells). The joys of creation. 😅 #ttrpg

Tyler found the sketchbook where Leigh first made some concept art for each of the different classes. The art is perhaps a decade old (Leigh's really bad at dating her sketchbooks) but maybe we can share some of it (though perhaps we should introduce our Jack of Trade species first).

We've been working on designing a logo for Abstract Dragonology. We're excited to start using it soon!

Call us ambitious, but we've come up with twelve base classes for Jack of All Trades - four for each main stat (strength, intellect, and dexterity) - and each class has three prestige classes. We're excited to introduce each one as Leigh produces concept art for them!

We love D&D5e but we also love to branch out. Some of the TTRPGs we own on our to play list: Band of Blades Animon Story Mythcraft Avatar Legends Household Not the End The House Doesn't Always Win Alice is Missing Magi-Knights Awakening Coyote and Crow Sentai and Sensibility Dragonbane #promosky

Some of the games that inspire us are: The Legend of Zelda Final Fantasy Fire Emblem Pokemon Kirby Stardew Valley Sun Haven Starbound Recettear Slay the Spire Core Keeper Banjo Kazooie Metroid Undertale Hollow Knight Minecraft Cozy Grove Lost Vikings Eastshade #promosky

Jack of All Trades is a system that allows for flexibility and creativity with the job system, much like Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy V, or Bravely Default; we wanted to provide the ability to mix and match all kinds of different classes and abilities for unique and powerful builds.

Hello! So glad you took a look at Abstract Dragonology's page. We're Leigh (Rii) and Tyler (Edeleth), a husband and wife team who want to make games. We're currently working on a TTRPG that uses a Job System with the working title Jack of All Trades! We also have plans to make video games.
