Cannot emphasis enough how the US might speak English, but they are a whole world apart from most UK thinking. Despite Brexit, we are still European. 💕💕💕

This👇🏼Map just so needed to updated given the New USA (Utter State of America) 🤷🏼‍♂️

Maggie was elected leader of the Tories 50 years ago today. Fascinating to wonder what it all might have been like if she hadn’t been

Went with son who is doing Macbeth for GCSE (which I did as well, 35 years ago) we were both rapt; laughed at the funny bits - gasped at the shocking bits. and his summary “I kinda knew what was going on because I’d read it already” 💡 yay!

UK people, go see Macbeth on Screen Arts if you can. Novel, edgy, diverse, psychically dark but still the same familiar epic I studied for O level 50 years ago. Was joining in with the classic monologues!

Can’t echo this enough. 💕💕💕

Safety First: The Case for 1 GP per 1,000 Patients GP numbers have not kept up with demand. But what would it take to fix this? The BMA’s "gold standard" for safe general practice is 1 full-time GP per 1,000 patients. Ambitious? Yes. Impossible? Let’s break it down. 🧵

GP really is in crisis. Like, properly properly at the point of many thinking of just closing the doors & giving up. If you value your GP, you might want to ask your MP what they are doing about it…

Is this the modern-day NHS postcode lottery? Where you live determines your access to General Practice—if not the access itself, then the type of access. Can’t help thinking part of this is driven by inequitable funding via Carr-Hill formula.

“And then he walks away, back on to the streets, exposed to the fire.” Possibly one of the more upsetting interviews with the brilliant Tony Slattery, may he rest in peace Tony Slattery: ‘I had a very happy time until I went slightly barmy’ www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

Listening to Today this morning talking about the financial choices of the Labour gov. The challenge of rising disability claims was cited as a reason to cut public spending, which frankly blows my mind. The impact of austerity playing out loud; again and again and again, for so many of my patients

Right. So could we have a West Wing where Donna is president? She asks all the important questions about policy It’d be such a powerful counterpoint to everything at the moment. Plus she’s just fab.
