She’s a killer smoking bass player and a true funk mistress and I did all my funkifying with just this album! If you don’t know this artist or her music, you are missing out on an incredible freaking talent! Funking find it as soon as possible and put it on… And try to find the explicit version!

Friends this is a phenomenal song that musically depicts the difference in the late 60s between the East Coast and the West Coast! It really is a musical masterpiece from the Butterfield blues band that I highly recommend listening to it and you’ll love it! youtube.com/watch?v=NvWv...

Happy Passover to all who celebrate!

So freaking true!

After the breakup of the USSR, the Lithuanian basketball team couldn't afford to participate in the 1992 Olympics, so the Grateful Dead funded the team's expenses and sent a box of tie-dyed outfits in Lithuania's national colors They went on to win bronze at that Olympics.

OY! A Grateful Dead coin!

Needed to share this….

Just a great explanation from Calvin……

Great poster! GRATEFUL DEAD, CHUCK BERRY March 29, 30 & 31 1968 at the Carousel Ballroom on Market St and Van Ness Ave, San Francisco.

If you have nugs.net, the show will be live on Tuesday and Wednesday night of next week! Check out who’s gonna be playing and you’ll want to find a way to watch it!

We're kicking off Women’s History Month the right way with the woman, the myth, the legend, Donna Jean Godchaux. Not only was Donna the only female member of the Grateful Dead, but she sang with the band for almost all of the 1970s. Her story with the Dead began when she introduced Keith to Jerry!

Another '73 ad touting the alleged length of the performance…… I guess we know they do like to play for a while! :-)

How cool is that? Actually, this is Robert Hunter (mandolin), David Nelson (guitar), and Jerry Garcia (banjo) as The Wildwood Boys, performing some bluegrass at Jerry and Sara's wedding in 1963.
