Before I spend quite some time writing about right- and left-handed phasers, here are some graphics of both versions of the Cobra type 2 phaser. The side on which the black padding wraps around the side of the phaser (both on top and bottom views) defines whether the phaser is ➡️ or ⬅️-handed.
