Hard disagree. If the quote does not contain the period then it shouldn't be in it. We already do that for ? And ! Consider the computer instruction case. Type "format c: /s /y". vs Type "format c: /s /y." Only one will result in a shiny new hard drive!

I have no opinion RN about 2026. 2028 w/Vance as VP and the current (or worse) Supreme Court will *not* be a fair election. Sufficient electors will be denied to throw to the house or Congress will refuse to certify and "Speaker Trump" will become president. We need to come to terms with that.

I'm not about to read Isaacson's biography to get details, but this sure sounds like someone stumbling on the Martingale strategy and deciding they're a genius and no around them knowing that's a (bad) thing. Which I think is far more revealing than any "what a risk taker" type hagiography.
