I also visited Ellis Island. I don’t think my people came through there, But by god I was reduced to tears seeing the photos of these people looking for better lives, the people who built this country. And see what’s happened to it now…

I’m visiting New York for the first time. I walked past St. Patrick’s while a Good Friday service was taking place, while people sat outside with signs asking for help. I noticed nobody from the church was doing a goddamn thing.
