As a colonial state that has violently oppressed and subdued the indigent Palestinian people for decades, and thus provoked its wrath, Israel takes as much responsibility as the Hamas for its yet unjustifiable attack: it wouldn't have happened without Israeli multi-UN-condemned behaviour. 1/2
