blenheim palace posting ai videos on tiktok is it

I know people who keep a powerpoint full of slides they can reuse across multiple presentations rather than make them all from scratch, and they're cowards

To keep fragile or small items protected, some of our material is stored in boxes like these. This tiny ‘Book of Nouns’ from 1800 may seem normal size on the shelf, but in reality it’s only 6cm tall! [C.C. 423 BOO]

Private Eye really not holding back then

I’ve worked in intranets, digital workplaces, and comms long enough to see the same cycles repeat, the same mistakes made, and the same bright ideas crash and burn. So here are the hard truths. Are you ready? Let’s go. 🧵

Just updating my social media slides

sitting listening to daft punk, saying quietly in a raspy accent: Wait a second, I know the synfesthizer why don't I use the synfesthizer

So, Europe is by itself. Could be worse.

I want my home office to have the same energy as Roald Dahl's. Jerry-rigged heater, everything within arms reach, massive chair, polystyrene insulation.

I don't know why I go on r/conservative. I mean jesus christ.

I've made the choice. Treat this spring is Kingdome Come Deliverance II, not CIV VII. Henry is hungry.

ultimate and exquisite pain and pleasure eternal offered by the Hellraisers but it's eating salt and vinegar discos when you've got a cut lip

I get the sense that a lot of GLAM people and academics have shifted to Bluesky, but has it been the same for theatre? Are performing art producers and creatives basically just on Instagram now?

Tone of voice represents who you are, who your audience want you to be and what works on the internet. I pulled together some good examples. adamkoszary.co.uk/posts/conten...

this is nice www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

going on r/conservative is fun because even some of them are like 'haha not sure about this but trust the process he knows what he's doing :) :)'

this is fucking obscene

If you don't think Trump could happen in the UK, then I don't think you've ever experienced the sadness and resentment of a small town outside the home counties

always enjoy going through old slides and remembering the batshit ways I've tried to describe content strategy

Whenever I see 24 year olds holding C-suite positions I remind myself that life is a farce, nobody will remember me in 200 years, and my daughter doesn't care about my LinkedIn profile, only whether I'm about to chase her around the living room and blow on her belly

I think Smartify do interesting and innovative things, but what's the end game considering their venture capital funding? Will museum subscriptions raise enough money? Will they start charging visitors? Will they sell up their IP to a bigger dog - & how does that affect museums?

A thing I find least helpful is constant updates as to what Meta and other channels have tweaked in terms of algorithm and platform changes. It's overwhelming and constantly changes. Good content does well because it's good, not because it satisfies a bunch of technical requirements.

I used to get told that digital content could never recreate the magic of witnessing a physical thing. My content of the week is a video that captures some of that feeling with One Simple Hook: adamkoszary.co.uk/posts/conten...

I've done my self assessment. I know I've done it. I've checked three times. Yet the HMRC emails never cease.

See it. Keith. Say it. Keith. Sorted.

No, you probably don't need a RedNote profile. Everyone will probably just shift to Reels if TikTok goes.

5.2% of GLAM workers are working class jesus christ www.theguardian.com/inequality/a...

Sometimes you just need to stick a camera in front of someone who knows how to explain something interesting without being patronising. This week's content of the week is the @ox.ac.uk Mathematics department: adamkoszary.co.uk/posts/conten...

A lot of MAGA people will be cancelling their subscription to Private Eye this week

My game Stimulation Clicker is out now, enjoy :) > neal.fun/stimulation-...

When I had some social media hits, I felt the pressure to formalise what I was doing - reaching for any framework, strategy or plan that gave a veneer of legitimacy to what I was doing. I'm still in the process of unlearning that 'nick the first Google result for how to do social media'

My God this salary. I love the British Library, I really do. I worked in the Dept. of Medieval Manuscripts as a curatorial fellow & then as a research associate; I have spent hundreds of hours there as a researcher. And I get it, this is the going rate for such positions in the UK. But Jesus Christ.

Or if you fancy your Bayeux Tapestry made by British Victorian seamstresses and chunk by chunk, Reading Museum have theirs online too: www.readingmuseum.org.uk/collections/...

Having a baby is fun because I am now more exhausted post-holiday than before holiday

Inscribed Deer Antler • Dublin • c.10-11th Century A thousand years ago, Dublin was a melting pot of Irish & Viking culture. This can be seen on this deer antler, carefully cut and prepared to receive a runic inscription. The message still holds true today It reads: 'deer antler'.
