Trump hates American democracy. He hates open societies. He’s jealous of Xi and Putin. He wants America to be like Russia and he’s doing everything he can to make it so.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously. Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

Russia kidnaps Ukrainian children and gives them to Russians to erase their heritage and demoralize Ukraine. Over 20,000 so far. And the US just stopped helping track these kids and likely deleted the database of all the research. Pure evil, right maga?

Workers who received positive performance reviews are being fired from Daniel Boone National Forest. These cuts aren't efficient — they're attacks on the dedicated Kentuckians who maintain our beloved natural areas and support our rural tourism economy.

Trump may not be profiting directly off Tesla, but his hawking cars at the White House poses the same issue as other potential conflicts of interest: What’s good for Truth Social or Tesla isn’t necessarily what’s good for America, @lorakelley.bsky.social writes. theatln.tc/gqJDH5uP

Rep. Guthrie is leading the committee that could slash $880 billion in spending with Medicaid likely on the chopping block. Kentucky receives $13.3 billion in federal Medicaid funding. This health care attack will cause lasting damage and suffering for our neighbors across our Commonwealth.

Last week, Republicans voted to gut Medicaid and take away healthcare from 8-year-old kids like William. Don’t let them lie to you. This is what they voted for. But we still have a chance to stop it.

Kim Davis loses another round in federal court. A decade ago the Kentucky county clerk refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples and was ordered to jail for contempt of court. @sarahelizabethladd.bsky.social kentuckylantern.com/2025/03/06/t...

Leaders of the free world stand united in London The United States is not among them

Such an embarrassing event unfolding in the Oval Office. The POTUS repeatedly lied in order to publicly shame the heroic leader of another country and in order to validate his personal grievances against Biden, Obama, the media, and others. Bullying at its best.

He really is this dumb.

UPDATE: The Pittsburgh Pirates' offer for Paul Skenes' Rookie Debut Patch 1/1 autographed card has been declined. The potentially seven-figure card, pulled by an 11-year-old, will go to auction instead. Details: www.nytimes.com/athletic/608...

No lies told in this headline.

Tuesday’s Trump-Alito phone call was the unholy marriage of blanket presidential immunity to blanket judicial impunity. It tells you all you need to know about what is coming next. With @dahlialithwick.bsky.social: slate.com/news-and-pol...

People sometimes make fun of science that sounds stupid and random. Meanwhile, a study of lizard saliva turned into a peptide medication, which was turned into a diabetes medication, which was turned into a GLP1 weight loss drug, that just became the first therapy every approved for … sleep apnea

Kentucky's workers, families, farmers, veterans, seniors, and men and women in uniform will pay the price if our federal government comes to a screeching halt. Thanks to the GOP extremists who reneged on a bipartisan agreement, our Commonwealth could lose out on $683 million.
