Every month is Black History Month. ✊

Learn about how the Black Adult Resilience Study takes proper steps to protect the privacy and welfare of research participants and their data. Learn more and join the study!

We want to take a moment of remembrance to William E. Cross Jr. who passed this December. Dr. Cross contributes to Black resilience by fighting against negative perceptions of blackness. We thank him for all the work he has contributed.

With the year coming to an end, here's our lab's 2024 newsletter! 🎉 Check out our latest lab/mentee achievements, meet our new grad students, and get updates on our ongoing research (including BARS @barsstudy.bsky.social). ✨

Something that is important to our lab is amplifying voices within the Black Community to strengthen bonds and to show support. So in light of the holiday season we made a list of events and Black owned businesses in your local area that may be of interest to you.

Kwanzaa is a symbol of Resilience as Black people have been stripped of many things, but Kwanzaa was something created for Black people to celebrate their History and culture in a positive light. Kwanzaa takes place December 26th - January 1st. 7 days to celebrate 7 principles.

One of our ongoing studies. Check it out!
