Best playoff-era records by a school that hasn't had a 9-win season: BC, .482 MTSU, .478 TexTech, .478 Cal, .465 UMd, .438 Nevada, .437 ECU, .409 SJSU, .409 GaSt, .403

P5 schools with both a 10-win and a 10-loss season in the playoff era: Arizona Baylor Syracuse Colorado Oregon State FSU Miss St Indiana Iowa St Louisville Illinois (SMU, UCF too but not as P5s)

That’s two. And the last one also has some ties to the ACC…

TRIVIA: Can you name the 3 schools to post a winning overall record in the playoff era (2014-24) but NOT have a 10-win season in that span?

I’ve been saying all along 2032 is the inflection point for college football.

Schools w/4+ 10-win seasons in playoff era, by current conf: ACC Clem, 10 FSU, 5 B1G Ohio St, 10 Mich, 6 Penn St, 6 Oregon, 6 Wash, 5 Wisc, 5 Mich St, 4 Iowa, 4 SEC Bama, 10 UGA, 9 Okla, 7 LSU, 4 Ole Miss, 4 B12 Okla St, 5 TCU, 4 Utah, 4 Baylor, 4 G5/other w/6+ Notre Dame, 8 Boise St, 7

Lots of discussion about the future of the college football playoff this week, so seems like a good topic for a new 🧵. So, let's answer some Qs...

ACC conference-game record, last 3: Clemson, 19-5 Lou, 16-8 Duke, 14-10 GT, 14-10 FSU, 14-10 NCSU, 13-11 UNC, 13-11 Mia, 12-12 Cuse, 11-13 VT, 10-13 Pitt, 10-14 BC, 9-15 UVA, 6-17 Wake, 6-18

Duke has four 9-win seasons since 2013 (under 3 diff head coaches). Teams with less: VT (2), Texas (3), aTm (3), Auburn (3), UCLA (3), SoCar (3), Nebraska (3), GT (2), Pitt (2), UNC (2) Only ACC teams with more: Clemson (12), FSU (6), Lou (5), Stanford (5)

Best records among ACC teams last 3 seasons: Clemson, 30-11 SMU, 29-12* Lou, 27-13 Duke, 26-13 FSU, 25-14 *only 1 year in ACC

Still counts.

On tonight’s Inside ACCess, in honor of Presidents Day, I ranked the 8 presidents who attended ACC schools using a top secret formula that included no actual understanding of their accomplishments.

Tonight on Inside ACCess (6 pm, ACCN) - I rank every president who went to an ACC school - me & @andrea-adelson.bsky.social break down the ACC’s QB situations - Are more games vs ND coming soon? - Louisville QB Miller Moss joins us

Alright, finished the initial roster files (thread below). My two biggest reactions: 1. The national average is WAY down overall -- only 1 team's even at 80%. That'll go up as I fold in 2023 stats for injured players and stuff, but it's shockingly low. 2. Go Clemson. bsky.app/profile/espn...
