Today's Cricket Sickos ep is with @cricketbatcat.bsky.social (Cat Jones)! Cat was one of the earliest contributors to White Line Wireless and went on to commentate WNCL, so fair to say that commentating was a major theme of this chat. open.spotify.com/episode/4mlS...

I also got to meet my favourite Indonesian player today, Wesika Ratna Dewi! Ever since she captained Indonesia U19 to a win vs Zimbabwe at the 2022 World Cup, she's opened the batting and bowling for the seniors and quickly become one of their best players. Very lovely to chat with her too.

I unexpectedly made my international cricket commentating debut today! Rocked up to Indonesia vs Bahrain men's at the Udayana ground in Bali, asked the commentator Andy (whom I'd called with before on White Line Wireless) if he needed a summariser and I got on! Bad loss for Indo but had a great day!

Today's episode of Cricket Sickos is with Ajit from @armchair-cricket.bsky.social! He gave me valuable lessons on making and growing a podcast, talked about his cricketing life in the Netherlands, and made predictions for the Champions Trophy that aged very well. open.spotify.com/episode/6Bz6...

On Cricket Sickos today is Sean, where we talk about what it actually means to use stats when talking about cricket, and the differences between people obsessed with cricket and those obsessed with football. open.spotify.com/episode/3kiq...

Test cricket getting a run at the in-laws' #SLvAUS

If you’re looking for something to listen to as you wind down this Friday (or begin Saturday), check out @aditrs.bsky.social ‘s podcast where I talk about how I got into commentating Aussie Rules and cricket, and the growth of both sports here! open.spotify.com/episode/3Vpd...

On today's Cricket Sickos*, we have MiLC and USAFL commentator @brianbarrish.bsky.social! While we technically talk more Aussie Rules than cricket, that includes how the USAFL is lightyears ahead of cricket when it comes to developing their game in the US. open.spotify.com/episode/3Vpd...

If Inglis is smart, he should get a big score until Aus declares so Carey doesn't get a bat #SLvAUS

Healy and Voll in, no Wareham, McGrath at 8 - will be fascinating if nothing else #Ashes

Loud cheers from the Aussie huddle as Belinda Clark presents Georgia Voll with her Baggy Green 💚 #Ashes

Melbourne! This Thursday morning come support the Afghan Women’s cricket team play their 1st match together since fleeing Afghanistan in 2021. Then head over to the MCG for day 1 of the test. To learn more about their stories, I’ll link podcasts, videos & articles below #Ashes #WAshes #Cricket 🏏

As someone who only until last September lived in Melbourne, I'm incredibly jealous of anyone who can head down to the women's #Ashes Test. MCG, day-night, and now the prospect of a whitewash - if you can get yourself down there, go see as much of it as you can!!

Despite living much of my life in Australia, I don't really support them in cricket... with the exception of when they play England, and England are losing terribly. I'm having a great time. #Ashes

Today's episode is with Jono, who discusses the confusing phenomenon of people who play recreational cricket while seemingly hating the game, as well as how neurodivergence plays into his cricket obsession. open.spotify.com/show/5ks7hJt...

The most annoying thing about this is that Pakistan are probably going to get automatic entry to the next tournament while the three associates who have finished ahead of them will drop back to regional qualifying.

If the ICC was actually interested in talking up its own product, everyone would know about the women's ODI World Cup qualification structure being decided in the final game of a 4 year cycle.

"All you need to do is lift one arm in the air, and one leg, then put your other arm on your lifted leg". "Nope too complicated."

To nobody's surprise I am not a genius

On the off-chance I accidentally look like a genius, I'm gonna say West Indies are going to get within 50 runs of the Pakistan total

Can only assume this team will be playing at the same time as the World Test Championship final and they wanted to make sure all players were available. 🏏

Episode 4 of Talkin' T20 is LIVE!!! I preview the upcoming Under 19 Women's T20 World Cup. I am a sucker for international and women's competitions and this one is no exception! Give it a listen and let me know if you agree or disagree with my analysis. talkint20.transistor.fm/episodes/tal...

Scorer of professional cricket Sarah Berman is today's guest on Cricket Sickos! We go deep into the various challenges of scoring, club administration, and what makes Mike Atherton great. open.spotify.com/episode/4E99...

Using the internet should only be done on a desktop at home and at work, none of this business about phones that mean people have to be online literally everywhere all the time. I can accept phones still being able to be used for calls, text messages, and Snake.

If I may quibble with the scheduling of the #Ashes - the games yesterday and tomorrow, I've got stuff to do all day; but I've got nothing on today and there's no game! No consideration for the Adit demographic

Today's episode of Cricket Sickos, I was incredibly lucky to be able to talk to @jarrodkimber.bsky.social! Jarrod talks about cricket literally everywhere else, so instead I got him to give a masterclass in cricket writing and content creation. open.spotify.com/episode/5ANS...
