An international system based on the principle of state sovereignty and a humanitarianism based on the principle of humanity ("to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found ... to protect life & health and to ensure respect for the human being") CANNOT COEXIST without compromise.

The only profession explicitly named and protected in the Constitution frequently misconstrues the First Amendment -- the very one that provides said protection.

This is quite literally what the WHCA exists to prevent. The general idea behind its creation was that if one outlet got mistreated, the rest could band together to counterpressure . The fact that they won't/haven't is sad.
