The #UNTaxConvention (all but the US) has just approved that it will make its decisions using the 2/3 majority rule and its first topic will be the prevention and resolution of tax disputes. It's a compromise between South (who wanted to discuss new int'l taxes) & North (who wanted consensus rule).

My 2 cents on geopolitics. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvY3... Note that it's very difficult to debate on TV (especially in a foreign language), I should have said different things at each of my interventions. E.g. here, I should have said the alliance mentioned should be on climate/taxation only.

Great paper by Ahonen & Palanne showing with exhaustive data on Finnish car mileage that horizontal distributive effects matter a lot under carbon pricing. Only 50% of the variance is explained by "observables". (Weird wording though since they can observe everything.)
