Days like today are when I like to make some of my opinions public... I think significantly less of people who still buy Harry Potter stuff. Every time you pay for a game, book, movie, tourist experience, etc., that disgusting bigot gets a little richer and humanity a little poorer. #transrights

Good luck to everyone doing #ldjam! I sadly won't be participating, but I hope there's some really cool ideas out there.

Extremely late to the party but the wife and I watched the first few episodes of Andor last night. Turns out, the thing everyone was saying might be the best thing Star Wars has ever done might just be the best thing Star Wars has ever done. Who'd have thought?

One week until my upcoming album, Blind Leading the Blind, releases! I'm so looking forward to sharing it with the world, but for now, you can listen to the lead single Hold Back For None: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPWj...

I hope all of you have a great 2025. All things considered, that is.

Get ready for my second album, BLIND LEADING THE BLIND, releasing on Friday the 17th of January 2025! You can listen to the first single, Hold Back for None, on any streaming platform, including Youtube right here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPWj... #music #prog #selfpromotion

For those that don't know, I have a Youtube channel that lives in the overlap between #chiptune and #prog (I make 8-bit covers of prog songs), and I just released a full album cover of Dream Theater's Images and Words. You can check it out here: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis... #8bit #dreamtheater

My 28 Years Later prediction: 1. Things are relatively stable 2. It is very obvious and clearly indicated to everyone that nobody should ever do the thing 3. Someone does the thing 4. Oh no zombies

It does remind me of the story of Mansa Musa - man too rich goes around completely fucking up everything with his money

In a way I kinda hope Musk buys Hasbro. It would probably be good for my bank balance if I stopped playing Magic the Gathering, and TTRPG-wise I've already moved to Pathfinder.

You ever just sit there and think to yourself, "I feel so lucky to live in a time where I can experience <a thing>"? A song/album, a movie, a TV show/episode, a video game, a YouTube video, a flavour of food, etc...

I've been thinking a bit about how lovely the blocking feature is on here... but the devil's advocate in me is asking "how do you balance permablocking and the fact that people can change for the better?" - it's ultimately not likely to be relevant in enough cases to need a solution #showerthoughts

The fact I can make "timestamp ordered posts by people I follow" the default view makes this easily one of the better social media options right now.

Two years after moving from... *that site* to Mastodon, I'm now also on here! Feels like *that site*, but from before it went all "late-stage capitalism".
