Finally found a breakfast casserole that works well. Kept trying hash brown, tater tot, and other bases, but this one uses a cut up toasted baguette and soaks up the flavors well.

Love seeing squirrels about while grabbing groceries.

Just preordered Pączki from the local bakery. Growing up with Kreppel, I'm glad to live in a place that indulges my love for fried donut things.

Sorry, wasn't this literally the number we all said in the 90s?

Reading the Fall of X series is depressing with *waves hands at everything going on*. But hopeful? Iunno, reminder that a lot of fiction and sci-fi are just telling us fanciful versions of what we're currently seeing.

Recreated my Envoy because I didn't like the hair. Dear Avowed, lighting in character creators should be better. Also, please allow for updating appearance after creation. Magic is fun though! And sneak attacks.

My city is seriously just so fucking blessed

As someone who played a godlike in both Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 (Death and Moon respectively), I'm loving that being the default option in Avowed. Leaning fully into my fungal godlike features.

Had a D&D session tonight where for the most part our group was just rolling really well, which is a first for us as a collective. A lot of the times we find ourselves about evenly footed with whatever challenge, sometimes the dice hate us. Felt good to just blow past a challenge for once.

After last night's Dragon Age TTRPG session, I think I am going to attempt writing a crown of sonnets for an NPC our party adopted (which makes it easier for the DM to twist the knife). Poetry was my first creative writing love, so it's great being able to tap back into that.

Citizen Sleeper 2 is definitely more difficult than the first, though once I wrapped my head around it it's been a fun challenge. However, last night I failed a mission because I refused let a cat on my ship go hungry. No regrets.

Spoilers inside, obv (it's been 4 months but you can never be too sure) but this is an excellent read, and provided a nice reframing of some issues I had with Veilguard also that were thought-provoking.

Have reached the optional bosses before the end of Metaphor. Finished one just fine. Reached another, sighed as they charmed everyone, and stepped away. Wondering how much end game stuff I'll continue to do (though maxed all bonds and have 14 days left).

I was reading Paradise Lost in 9th grade when I made an AIM screen name and it's unique enough that it stuck. I have no clue whom I was trying to impress by reading that poem. 🤷‍♂️

I started writing a poem tonight, and it's the first time I've flexed that particular creative writing muscle since college. Our Dragon Age TTRPG group started with a song, and trying to tackle a response to it. Since I don't know music, just trying at a poem and seeing what I can do with it.

Think I've reached the home stretch of Metaphor. Which has meant a veritable bonanza of cutscenes. It may be the best paced Atlus game I've played, but may need more distance from it once I've finished. Also first I've played without a calendar guide.

Didn't clear M3S (or M2S, had a 0.01% enrage) but did see progress in the fight. Also glammed up color schemes for some birthdays. We only need one more M2S clear before we're done with bees, and we're all looking forward to it. With @dapneym.bsky.social and @mcgreenesd.bsky.social

I've been enjoying Arcane okay enough. I've played League a handful of times and accepted I don't want to learn it. MOBAs ain't for me but the lore does interest me (look, I accept I am a lore fiend). But I wish we could get an animated show of Dishonored in the same style.

but you know what wont disappoint you? racel pollack doom patrol! turn off tv, read comic book today :3

For @unclegrambo.bsky.social and Decider, I wrote a little about David Lynch: decider.com/2025/01/18/d...

heartbreaking. what a legend. deciding that the best way I can react is to be inspired to be more confident about what doesn't need to be explained in my own art

Nearing the fourth story dungeon in Metaphor. Kept running into extreme weather days when tackling the side quest dungeons, but thankfully managed it anyway. I love RPGs that let me be a dancer.
