I love the fact that the Trump Admin is now responsible for covering up all the conspiracies. Epstein, JFK, J6 pipe bomber, Ray Epps, chemtrails, weapons bio labs, ghost buses, Patriot Front as FBI, a whole host of false flags, manifestos. Trump is HIDING ALL OF IT!!!

the letterboxd community really seems to have an issue with lesbian movies/films from east asia, almost as if it’s inconceivable (and problematic) to them that lgbtq+ culture varies in places with different societal structures/cultural norms

i miss brat summer so much i’m actually extremely nostalgic for that specific era

i actually had to pause the video because i was laughing too hard at caelan's "this lasagna's really bad..." no one else is dishing extremely informative content with the most hilarious delivery imaginable quite like @caelan.bsky.social and @hoots.bsky.social over at the respect the dead podcast

Hunter Schafer shares that her passport has changed to state she is Male due to Donald Trump’s two-gender executive order: “I don’t give a fuck that they put an ‘M’ on my passport, It doesn’t change anything about me or my trans-ness, however it does make life a little harder.”

“We are never going to stop existing. I’m never going to stop being trans. A letter on a passport can’t change that, fuck this administration.” — Hunter Schafer on uniting with trans people against Trump’s administration.

watching hardcore trump sycophants like my parents, especially my father who is literally from poland and has a ukranian flag sticker on his car, try to justify this has been a fantastic case study in the extent that continual hoop-jumping has become the MAGA republican ethos

Put aside the nastiness of this post, & the way in he attacks Zelenskyy as a dictator but says not a word about his pal Putin, & just focus on the way it is written: would you hire this weird person to work for you? Would you trust this odd person to teach your kid in school?

2023: Murder/manslaughter dropped 12%. Violent crime overall dropped 3%. In fact, municipalities with 1 million people or more (those hellish cities) saw an even bigger decrease in violent crime: 7%. And now? Early data show homicides dropped 16% in 2024 www.axios.com/2025/02/19/h...

I’m George Takei and I approve of this message.

does anyone remember back around like 2012-2015 on tumblr there was a really popular page that posted memes/funny content that got cancelled because the owner had a maid(/possible slave?)? i’m trying to find what made the situation so egregious but having zero luck because i know it wasn’t normal

i feel like my most used phrase for the past month as been “it’s so fucking bleak” or some variation of it

rewatching super bowl performances right now and i got so emotional watching coldplay’s- there’s so much rainbow paraphernalia and flags, and it’s so clear that since then we’ve jusr gone down the worst path in this country. it feels so fucking bleak.

keeping up with the news is so important yet so demoralizing i don’t even know how to function anymore or what to do- obviously prioritizing mental health is so important but there’s so much collective suffering at stake as well, so finding a suitable middle ground feels near impossible

BREAKING: RFK Jr. was just confirmed HHS Secretary 48-52.

this guy being the shadow president and posting like this is proof that, just like the cold war, gamergate never truly ended

"It's actually resistance to dress like James Charles in 2016. It's actually good praxis." said as an off-handed quip, this one quote from @taylorlorenz.bsky.social is the perfect encapsulation of the current cultural zeitgeist. this whole episode of the A Bit Fruity Pod is essential viewing.

notice how race-based discrimination only exists when it’s against white people

His administration is literally composed of men who beat and batter women.

NEW: A 25-year-old who's worked for Elon Musk companies now has direct control over a Treasury system disbursements from which amount to a fifth of the US economy. He does not, our sources say, have "read only" access, but high-level admin privileges on a mainframe housing all the code.

congress fucking ceded private information & people’s livelihoods to groypers

(WIRED) - A 25-year-old engineer named Marko Elez, who previously worked for two Elon Musk companies, has direct access to Treasury Department systems responsible for nearly all payments made by the US government, three sources tell WIRED. @wired.com www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

They have trashed valuable products your tax money paid for.

Pretty much.

After claiming he doesn't know who Laura Loomer is and merely took a photo with her at a book event, Kash Patel is asked if he's familiar with Stew Peters, an antisemitic podcast host. Patel: "Not off the top of my head." Durbin: "You made eight separate appearances on his podcast..."

fix your hearts or die

pretty incredible to publish this official executive order days before the largest deadly air crash in nearly 20 years occurs

not to downplay the ugliness of this but this is the equivalent of busywork. they are giving him executive orders to sign so that it feels like he’s doing something.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it. Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice. But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word. They aren’t firing for a reason.

this era of trump destroying every institution in the name of being anti-woke and ending DEI will usher in an even more woke era than ever thought possible

When asked how he can blame diversity for the plane crash with zero evidence, Trump says it's because he has "common sense." It’s apparently so obvious in his mind that a white person couldn’t have been responsible that even with no proof whatsoever, it’s "common sense" that a minority is to blame.

play-by-play, word-for-word. hook, line, and sinker.

trump killed 70 people on that plane tonight

trump literally made made cuts to all major airline safety administrations day 2. this crash is easily and inarguably his fault

only appropriate political response here is to demand the white house explain how its actions aren’t responsible www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

who knew 9 days could feel like a millenium. we can convince ourselves that after 4 years we’ll be free, but that’s not the case. the damage done by this administration and their rhetoric will poison american politics for decades to come, just as their predacessors goldwater, nixon, and reagan did.

if sitting democrats don’t emphasize the fact that the very measures the trump presidency/cabinet enacted paved a straight unadulterated path to this tragedy at DCA, they should all just resign. unfortunately, i predict only a select few will (always the same ones) and the rest silent/complacent.

Seems relevant about the hiring freeze Trump implemented that applied to FAA air traffic controllers. democrats-transportation.house.gov/news/press-r...

FAA says a military helicopter collided with the American Airlines passenger jet from Wichita near DCA. There must be immediate hearings on how the federal government/Department of Defense allowed this to happen and if removal of safety protocols and recent personnel changes led to this incident.

Democrats: “Tuning out the noise.” “The noise”: Trans people, disabled people, immigrants, marginalized people literally dying.
