#r4today cricket and state schools just doesn't fit. At a time when schools have unfunded pay increases to deal with how can they give resource to support anything more than a cursory engagement. Teams likely made up up of players already in clubs so how is base broadened.

#r4today I get it's an emotional connection for supporters and clubs but players are not obligated to stay or sign new contracts. To go through youth ranks to late 20's undoubtedly means a player who has cost less than buying one.

#r4today it's perverse how the programme picks up on electoral reform now. FPP had delivered this kind of result for years. MP's and governments elected on less votes than other parties combined. There was the half hearted referendum on it.

#r4today the irony of Amol's joy at the weather and lack of readiness for extreme weather. As for Blair carbon capture would be fantastic if there were examples of where this is working at significant scale. Its idea protects the businesses that are need people to consume ever more.

#r4today hopefully the public enquiry into Southport will work out why mental health services couldn't interact with a young person who seems to have had that need. Bottom line is going to be money. Misfits and loners tag seems poor description and does it really serve the victims and families.

#r4today what measures to limit access to foods that are unhealthy have actually happened and given time. The sugar tax on soft drinks saw some real change. That's not to diminish any drugs impact but it's not as simple as losing faith in people more govt and food industry.
