A pretty easy mechanism might be to implement a tax equal to what would normally be sent to the feds and exempt/credit any employer that sends it the state/city instead

a fun thing that the New York mayor's protective detail did recently was ferry an Italian guy to a penthouse and stand outside while they whipped him with electrical cords, forced him to smoke crack, and tortured his genitals to try to get his crypto wallet open

Thanks for letting me know about this awesome bundle and all the great things it’ll be supporting! Purchasing now

The whole Dems wanna court Elon myth is like 100% based on one comment from Ro Khanna. And even he now disavows it. Quite literally fake news.

Be the change you want to be and write about it from your perch at the New York Times.

Wild (and factually incorrect) indignation from someone whose coworkers are actively white washing the reputation of Dom Lucre Any comment there?

one thing i absolutely do not understand is why the primary editorial position of the new york times is sneering contempt for customers of the new york times

people have raised extremely serious problems with his story (namely, that Lucre watermarked the worst CSAM on earth and was clearly lying about how he acquired it) and the response is to be snarky about the bluesky pileon what is going on in the newsroom there

doing a puff piece for the guy who sought out and trafficked csam is not, in fact, something you get to be weirdly smug about

this post is a joke from a New York Times reporrter's work account about video of an infant being raped to death

The wrong rocking will continue for the foreseeable future, regardless of its impact on morale.

So at what point does it become legitimate (morally, practically, if not strictly legally) for states that are the targets of this focused attack to withhold federal taxes as much as they’re able?

The New York Times on … :

I’m obviously not an AI hater. This is just a boring lazy unoriginal use of the tech that doesn’t lean into its strengths at all and could be done more robustly and flexibly with CGI. Hell, you could still use generative AI for a lot of the workflow

When @melissaryan.bsky.social and I first dated, we went to Shenanigan’s Irish Pub in Adams Morgan. She checked into Foursquare and instantly became Mayor.

Just have to look at Schumer’s QTs to see that Dem messaging is always the wrong rock

newsmax asking tougher and more insightful questions than anyone in the prestige legacy outlets and this will cause absolutely no self-reflection or embarrassment in prestige newsrooms

Khanna has always been a woo-woo medicine proponent on top of all the shitty stances of tech regulation

i will donate to a khana primary challenger, I know top 2 makes it hard, don't care
