I almost gave up on bluesky, I never got the hang of twitter and I don't think it'll be much different here. But its nice to have a way to call out assholes like @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social for aiding and abetting facists. Retire, apologize, and get the fuck out of politics.

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social do something you useless piece of shit, you stand to gain nothing by enabling the regime. Fuck you.

Now, then, forever

CEOs upset about Trump’s tariffs sound like mob bosses shouting “I thought we had a deal!” at the Joker.

@schumer.senate.gov fuck you

I think people are extremely on edge, and horrified by how quickly society has slipped into this banal techno-fascism, and scared about how far it will go, and that makes people brittle and impatient, and if I were a better person I would extend grace to people because of that, but, you know, I’m me

They are gross globs of chemicals and shortening and if they were in front of me I would eat them until they were all gone

Found my sunglasses that have been missing for a month today so I guess it's not all bad

Only Rep. Green being ejected so far is an embarrassment - cowards all of them.

American statements in the Oval Office indistinguishable from Russian propaganda and celebrated by Russian propagandists.

Today's vibe is New Order, Yves Tumor, and Los Campesinos! Trying to manifest a little more fun and optimism today, much as my gut wants to scream and panic.

Today, I'm pissed about non voters. I don't agree with third party or protest voting as it stands now but at least those people put effort into sending a message about the world they wanna live in. But non voters effectively say "whatever happens next is fine by me" and that's pathetic.

For the record, do I think a one-day boycott is going to make much of an economic impact? No. Do I think that a sort of "Baby's First Boycott," performative though it is, might be useful to make some folks aware of the impact of their economic power, and how it might be wielded politically? Maybe.

Also: getting into Radiohead worked. I pretty much just listen to The Bends and OK Computer like a basic bitch but I'm having fun. Tried both Kid A and In Rainbows but neither have clicked yet, will have to try again later.

Spent the last week re discovering Placebo and I have been doing myself a disservice barely listening to them for the last 10 years. Self Titles and Without You I'm Nothing really manage to capture everything I like about the 90's alt rock scene without getting too grungy. And Brian Molko is based.

My thrifted whiskey glass has a bee on the bottom, and it just makes me so joyful every time I use it. Angel's envy was a xmas gift from my dad, definitely my favorite bourbon that I've tried so far.

One thing that Los Campesinos got right is more jangly danceable British indie rock songs should start with a 103 second abrasive textural noise crescendo

having a big record collection is fun until it’s time to pack and move said record collection

I dunno lads, I have no specific affection for Bond, am just so tired of every aging film series being hoovered up by a giant conglomerate to be shat out at a rate of knots as lifeless cynical product

Today's vibe is Placebo, Heartworms, and Metz. Its a good day.

I'm hungry. I should eat something or maybe start the process of starving myself to death.

Today's vibe is KMFDM, Viagra Boys, and Geese. Whoo!
