okay so - why is double cover in quaternion rotations considered by some a natural/physical/geometric truth about rotations? I know the dirac plate trick and the spinning cube with the ribbons, but these don't seem natural/inherent to rotations or SO(3) at all! isn't that just an SU(2) thing?

NEW—After a day of uncertainty on where agents took Tufts student Rumeysa Ozturk, she appears to be in a Louisiana facility. 1400+ miles from Somerville, Massachusetts, where she was taken. A judge ordered to not take her out of state without 48 hour notice. She was detained last night.
