Robin Hobb's Farseer and Liveship Trader trilogies are the first fantasy novels I have ever read and I'm worried I've been spoiled. Ship of Destiny was an amazing (and at times, horrifying!) book and it's taken me my whole life to realise I might actually enjoy reading novels!
