Trump fires all the inspector generals and the NYT says this "threatened to end the traditional independence of the internal watchdogs." Why is the word "threatened" in that sentence? Sort of like the three bullets to the head "threatens" to end the person's life. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/24/u...
