Some defense officials responsible for drafting lists of civilian Pentagon employees to be terminated as soon as this week are raising concerns with their superiors that the summary firings could break the law and potentially harm US military readiness, a senior defense official told CNN.

PSA: Under the Attorney General Guidelines, an investigation on anyone cannot be based solely on First Amendment activity.

How it started. How it’s going

Shameful.

So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

Well, this advice didn’t seem to take root. But I tried. My biggest concern is the firing of the CJCS, the CNO and the service JAGs. No mystery there.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Friday that he was firing Admiral Lisa Franchetti, the first female officer to rise to the Navy’s top job of Chief of Naval Operations, and would be looking for her replacement.

To remove Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff General CQ Brown during Black History Month is a travesty It can't be rationalized, no way no how

Every senior officer serves at the pleasure of the President, but Trump and Hegseth’s firing of CJCS Chairman General Brown will reflect badly on the civilian leadership, not on the military.

Accurate headline would be: "Trump Fires Joint Chiefs Chairman and Causes Turmoil at Pentagon; the decision to fire Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. is due to the fact that the general is Black and Trump is a white supremacist."

“What merit means to them” General Brown’s record, which Hegseth questioned for obvious reasons: www.af.mil/About-Us/Bio...

This will make our troops less safe. Again, he's building a significant amount of backlash and stepping on a lot of toes. The Pentagon never created a job if there wasn't a need for it. And why anyone would celebrate people losing their jobs whether corporate or government is beyond me.

Please don't let the reporting about the Pentagon purge focus solely on DEI/Joint Chiefs. Firing the service TJAGs - the top lawyers for Army, Navy, USAF/Space Force - is incredibly consequential. A little context🧵on why.

President Trump's purge at the Pentagon is a major step toward creating an officer corps personally and absolutely loyal to him, @radiofreetom.bsky.social writes. theatln.tc/V6pB4qcF

Elon Musk, and all the DOGE people, and sympathizers are fucking terrorists!
