When I say transsexual I mean it as an umbrella term. If you think you can guess my chromosomes, you probably can't. Lit, music and rpgs. Also too much politics, way too much (actual anarcho-communist). You may as well salute a dirty rag.

I am contemplating going to yell at my bank.

Is Jason Hardy still in charge of Shadowrun?

One very minor thing checking out both PF2 and "5.5" or whatever the 2024 stuff is is how absolutely terrified they seem of unbalancing anything other than humans, who in both cases get to be some powergamer's delight nonsense.

I think what gets me with the dumb d20 rolling interface in BG3 is it's not a D&D-based games thing. It's a Larian wanting to be cute thing. Literally no other D&D based crpg I know of does this shit - BG1-2, IWD1-2 and NWN1-2 all do that kind of speech/reaction check passively in the background

People joke about Aumaua being shark orcs but with both of their mainline cultures having respectively casteist island monarchies and a highly regimented empire, it fits the turbo lawful orcs that existed in AD&D (the CE barbarian poster boy orcs with an int penalty are all from 3e)

The further I go into BG3 (good grief it's a long game) I can both see some of the stuff that made it well liked and also increasing numbers of things which in an actual TT game would make me walk out (I think I'd probably ragequit a real campaign mid act 3)

I really hate the way class based systems often create pointless classes as some sort of "flatter the players" layer of design (I'd say the FFG 40k ones have a class system that's just skills-based in disguise though so it doesn't count). I've never used a NPC class or a 0-level NPC and never will.

As much as I know the game is bound to fall apart in late game as is tradition with Larian, Act 2 is... actually solid.

The grove annoys me, I swear if Larian did Suldanesselar it would be 3 elves, 50 NPCs of every phb race, all worshipping human gods. What do you mean the insular community that gets 0 visitors is a melting pot and the refugees from a massive city state on a major trade route are mono-racial

Finally replaying BG3 with the intent to actually finish act 3 and I'm still mentally stuck on the fact that Wyll and Gale as written would be horrible tabletop character - it's one thing to have good hooks but they have horrendous levels of main character syndrome

Every now and then some liberals on here are puzzled why dem leadership gets compared more to zentrum than the SPD and people like this are why. They don't mean AOC, they mean people like Schumer and Slotkin who only seem to oppose the feds on optics.

Pedantry about what is or is not a state is never going to convince anarchists.
