And as a corollary, it would be really nice if reviewers didn’t keep calling adult books written by women YA. I lost count of the times NETTLE & BONE got described as YA. The heroine is THIRTY. I wrote it for adults! It is fine if teens want to read it, but it’s not YA and that is FINE.

LAST CHRISTMAS GIFT was this book for my brother! He's been asking me to bind it for him for ages, but I had to build confidence before I tackled it (and like the one for my SIL it has too-tight hinges, and the vinyl got off-center on the cover but it's fiiiiiiine it's fine just don't look closely)

You do not have to consume every single tiny piece of bad news in order to be a good person. It’s ok to miss things. Traumatizing yourself isn’t the same as activism. Bearing witness to the point that you’re paralyzed with fear and horror and fury isn’t going to help us get through this.
