Since I started #dialysis, I’ve become myself once again. We’ve been grilling a lot lately and the past few times, I’ve used dried grape vine wood as fuel. It’s really neat, actually. Distinctive in both lighting, burning, and flavor. If you see this in the US, give it a try. Why not, right? #bbq

On the #ÎledeRé today - perfect weather, not too crowded at all, all of our favorite haunts are open for the season. It’s really been the perfect day. Lunch at the #Balaou, stroll on the #beach, #icecream at #LaMartinière, and #coffee/ #cigar/ #reading on the terrace of a café at the marina.

It’s literally 1 mi from Old Poitiers and maybe 60(?) from Tours. The battlefield is a neat place to visit, btw. 🗃️ #CharlesMartel

The hospital is pretty fantastic with their #dialysis schedules for working people (like me) - MWF and weekends off. Great way to recuperate. Today, under the warm spring sun, I’m having a #cigar on the porch. All the animals are here with me, even the #chickens. Happy #Saturday, everyone.
