Check out this article about FF7 Before Crisis preservation! The team behind the preservation effort – @rockmancosmo.bsky.social, @yuvi.app, Naoya, and more – are also responsible for the recovery of the KH Mobile minigames earlier last year. It's incredible how much progress has been made so far!

Last night, #FFVII Before Crisis demo was preserved by Irdkwia! They read the W51H's filesystem for the first time. This is all of chapter 1, and it runs in Melange (no audio support yet)! @yuvi.app is also working on inserting these chapter 1 assets into our preserved DoCoMo copy of BC.

Yes, Missing-Link is delayed, but that's standard for KH mobile titles: - Mobile: Fall 2008 → Dec. 2008 - coded: Winter 2008 → June 2009 - KHDR: Winter 2021 → Aug. 2022 KHUX was "on time," but even that was originally intended to release alongside KHX in 2013. The only true exception is V CAST...

Fun KH fact: the song "It Began with a Letter" is only used 4 times in the series! When King Mickey's letter is read in the KH1 prologue, during Mickey's narration in the 2.5 Re:coded movie, in the Museum menus in MelMem, and... the forgotten Picross spin-off. New video about it this weekend!
