Yep, that is stretching confirmed.

Her picture reminds me of those scenes from James Bond movies where a room full of Spectre syndicate sociopaths are sitting around a long table and one of them is a woman, who's been told to act heartless, cold and unlikable.

Zero Edge, at least he lived up to the name of the company.
Seems odd that they released him on bonds when the company liquidators state he used company funds for gambling and then "disappeared".

"Elon Musk’s loser energy"
Made me laugh for some reason.

I know it is easy to say and words are the cheapest they can be on social media, but don't let it take over you.

A fellow.

My hypothesis, that Jon has a favorite podcast shirt, continues.

It shouldn't have to be the obligation of the people, especially the most vulnerable, to constantly have to escape the ramifications of poor policies by the privileged.

I was worried there for a second.

I would argue he never really was an atheist. He often argued for the position of agnosticism.

Schrodinger's liberal according to social media.
Simultaneously the cause of why things don't change and the one asking for the rulebook to be thrown out in favor of outside the box plays so we can change things.

Ok sure, but issues are worth fixing on their own terms if possible without enforcing them into linearly constrained artificially handicapped formats.
City/state planning falls under city/state obligation & it is local politics that dictate these. States can cooperate without federal intervention.

Well, this is a nice surprise.
Congrats.

I do agree with you on the notion that Labour is not swinging the Overton window back, which is granting the right-wing a staying power and renewed legitimacy.
I wrote these sentiments to you in an earlier post.

You may be right, but there is a counter-scenario, that I think is more likely.
Similar to how Brexit diminished support for far-right parties in Europe, Trump's tariffs & hostility is doing the same for the EU/UK as a whole.
Plus, Europe is more united against Russia which is escalating the war.

First, the US needs an overhaul to its zoning policies & public transit system with bullet trains for state-to-state travel to wean off flights, bike/pedestrian friendly city zones with smaller busses & street-cars/trams.
Only then, with narrower, safer roads, are these small electric cars viable.

But then it begets the question; was conservatism ever truly about its portrayed values, or was it merely, similar to most ideologies, merely adapting against the pressures of time and resistance, whilst trying to hold on to social and political power?

"It is also darkly amusing to me that the biggest issue WSJ readers in the comments take with this story about Elon [...] is that he isn’t a present father"
Probably comments from all the wives.
Interesting that conservatism, in its desperation for power, picked the least conservative role model.

Excellent.
Also, at this point the overanalysis by pundits of his policies is functioning as filler episodes of a show, while we wait for the devastating set pieces to drop.

Based on the hype, I'd vote for Blue Prince as well.

Isolationism is one of the key points behind nationalist-politics.
Whether it is emotional, social, trade policy or foreign affairs, isolationism is the main driver to further their cause.

At some point, a few years back, I was watching so much WW2 content on YouTube, that the advertisement algorithm started showing me ads for active defense measures for submarines meant for, presumably, State departments to purchase.

Read half of it before starting to throw up in my mouth - absolute drivel and nonsense packed for the self-righteous, who are more willing to break things apart and who haven't lived a day in communism.

Well, from the outside it looks like you are doing great and I also think spreading your reach to other platforms is going to be worth it.

I'm still reminded of him throwing his friend under the bus for that political statement and I'm not really willing to move past that point.
comment in response to

Yeah I get your point and you are right in this regard.
My point is that a decoupled system makes it near impossible for them to increase their audience on the platform that is decoupled. Not that it makes it impossible on other avenues.
Elon had to buy X at a loss to enforce information control.
comment in response to
post
Everything has an audience of some form up to a certain amount.
The point isn't that we can control their money flow. The point is that decoupled systems makes it harder for them to control the narrative, spreads their content and eventually gain control of the information flow.

Another reason why they are wrong, Thatcher was on their side.

And I think this is one of the main issues we are and have been dealing with - the fact that a large portion of people generally haven't agreed with this arrangement that we live in a society and there is no moral or practical way to pretend otherwise.
comment in response to
post
That is a misleading take.
Grifters have always used various platforms to gain money - substack isn't the only way.
Decoupled systems prevent their ideology from controlling the flow of content.
In social media, unlike in Washington, money is not the main problem - control of information is.
comment in response to
post
You are confusing grifters with political influencers.
Grifters seek money, political influencers seek control.
This is why Elon, after purchasing X, implemented a series of algorithmic changes to boost their engagement and to force others to see their content.
Fascism is about control of ideas.

The decoupled system of bluesky doesn't work for them. They require an audience that is forced to listen to their nonsense.
