[CN: account of serious transphobic violence in link] I think people saying trans men should use women's public toilets to make a point should realise what they're asking trans men to risk. www.them.us/story/trans-...

Something that really angers me is that there have been two Supreme Court cases on bathroom issues and whether trans women are women this year, and only one has been international news. In Mexico, the case was brought by an Indigenous trans woman and a trans sex worker, the latter murdered before

Mentally I feel like absolute fucking shit at the minute, because of... all this. But I'm gonna make a frankly inadvisable quantity of pancakes, maybe have a long bath, and go yell about it on Saturday. We will survive.

Please don’t let this be another case of relegating supporting trans people to “trans people are so cool and valid uwu” Support trans charities Support trans artists Speak up when you witness transphobia Educate yourself on trans issues/community Don’t be complacent Stop supporting bigots

World's shit, am feeling like shit, so if you could take a minute to cheer me up by checking out ma comic I am working very hard on, that would be cool. There's a new page today and it's even got a robot in it ➡️ iteatsplanets.com/page/29

The "I had the rules of warhammer 40k mansplained to me a few months into transition" story is absolutely INCREDIBLE for getting cis women in male-dominated workplaces on board with the idea that trans women experience misogyny. Every time I tell it to someone new it hits.

“Fuck your single-sex spaces and fuck your Supreme Court. If I see you calling the police on a trans person in a public restroom I will personally flush your phone down the bog whilst pretending it’s Wes Streeting’s head.”

A funny part of today has been getting this message from @parrotttom.bsky.social and being like OH YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW INTERCONNECTED THOSE TWO THINGS ARE

Anyway, if you feel like throwing money at a trans person, feel free to buy my book. mybook.to/potentsolution

These legends truly our bravest soldiers

📢Emergency demo. Come out for trans liberation! Following yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling a number of emergency demos have been called across the UK this Saturday. To coincide with these @swanscenequeer and @swanseapride are organising a demo in Swansea: 🗓️ Sat 19 April 🕐 1pm 📍 Castle Square

The response to yesterday’s ruling by terfs, the popping of champagne corks, the odious glee, shows that they were never afraid of trans people. No, they delight in our fear and our misery. Refuse to be miserable. Find community. Love loudly and proudly. Laugh together. Share joy.

I have a Sappho fragment tattooed on my body permanently, fragment 147. "Someone will remember us, I say, Even in another time" I no longer feel it is enough to be remembered. We'll be remembered in passing by people who watch as our personhood is eroded one small step at a time.

This and the "will never write a poem" thing are both transparently designed to separate autistic people from humanity at large

Reminder that misogyny, ageism and fatphobia are not appropriate responses to transphobia and are in no way useful activism or allyship

"She doesn't own the fandom, we made it our own--" Fuck EVERY last one of you.

Heads up, the Jeremy Vine show are sniffing around trying to get a trans woman on their show to "debate" if the UK was right to try and take away our rights etc. Don't say yes if invited. It's a gotcha. They're aiming to set up a panel with multiple anti trans voices platformed as authoratative.

It would also be nice if cis people with platforms actually spoke out publicly for a change and didn’t just message their trans friends privately to say that it sucks but keep quiet otherwise to avoid losing their newspaper columns

We really need people to stop saying it's "unworkable". The costs of its unworkability will be paid by increasing trans women's precarity and vulnerability to sudden legal and economic sanction. The system does not need to be coherent if it externalises the risks and costs of policing on to us.

It’s worth noting that JK Rowling is not only funding meritless legal challenges against trans people until they can appeal up to the court that will back them, she openly gloats about how this is where her money is going. This is what the Harry Potter TV show is bankrolling.

Please cis people step up on this one. Get loud and make it clear there is a problem here.

Do me a favour. I don't need to see screenshots of transphobes crowing and celebrating. I am sure JK Rowling is delighted but I don't need to see the gory details, thanks.

If you have anything Harry Potter please burn it.

It's occurred to me a few times today that I have not posted for Black Maternal Health week. I felt bad about that until I realized I'm kinda busy doing my part to literally promote Black Maternal health.

Just clarifying, though this is not difficult to grasp: Anyone working on an industry project with a notorious transphobic bigot is OK with transphobic bigotry. The end.

One of the reasons I’m struggling to inhabit the current historical era is that I along with many others have been saying that US prisons are torture chambers for decades and most people don’t mind this in the least. I’m not sure who will be moved to close prisons now.

Oh you'll have to forgive Misogyny Dave, you see he's On The Spectrum (undiagnosed), so when he used the r-slur and told you to shut up tranny bitch when you were telling a story about your interests it was like as an inclusive joke, you know?

The way trans issues and trans lives are discussed in contemporary society is the ultimate example of talking about people like they're not in the room *while we're in the room.* Even when we're screaming at you, "no, that's not how any of this works"
